ADHESIVES TO BE USED IN ASSEMBLY OF KWU DESIGN GENERATORS 210/250


MW (THRI) AND 500 MW (THDF) TYPE

During assembly of various components of Turbo-Generators like, Shaft seals, Oil


Catcher, bearings, end shield, gas cooler etc. various types of adhesives are used.
Earlier most of these adhesives were being imported; however now some of them
have been replaced by indigenous make.

A list of different types of adhesives, their supplier both overseas, and Indian
along with their application areas is given below, for use of the site engineers.
