HughesNet Jupiter State Code List

All too often, ones Hughesnet service may go out, and many times you may visit the
System Control Center (SCC) only to notice a statecode, but they are cryptic, almost giving
no indication what they mean.  Originally Hughesnet provided a menu that displayed
what each statecode meant, but because everyone kept thinking a random recording of a
bad statecode at some point in time was causing them issues, Hughesnet decided to
remove all information as to what each code means.

However, many of these statecodes can provide us some great insight into what is
wrong, many are considered transitory, as in, during a weather event you could see the
following happen, 0.0.0 > 11.2.1 > 12.3.2 > 12.3.1 > 12.7.1 > 0.0.0 all in a few seconds.  No
one of these actually indicates a problem with service unless it hangs at a particular code
for an extended time period. Statecodes actually represent a “state” or issue that the
modem resides in for a time period due to many variables.

Below is a list of compiled codes and what they mean.  Many will never been seen on a
healthy terminal, some will be seen often, usually during inclement weather, and others
may be seen due to issues on your own local network that Hughesnet has no control
over.  For instance, statecode 13.1.1 means your network cable isn’t attached at some
point in time.

Indoor Unit (IDU)

Remove power from modem, check cable ends to make sure they are nger tight, then reboot
modem.  If failure still results, contact Hughesnet for service.

Downlink
11.1.1 Downlink sequencer rmware is not running
11.1.2 Downlink kernel packet processor is not running
11.1.3 Control message queue watermark is above threshold
11.1.4 Downlink acquisition Demod and/or FLL thread is not running
11.1.5 Downlink acquisition Demod thread is not running
11.1.6 Downlink Sequencer Failed to load key
11.2.1 Outroute is not locked
11.2.2 Outroute is locked to an unknown carrier
11.2.3 Outroute is locked to the wrong carrier
