Dear Mr. Dhandapani,


This is in continuation to our earlier e-mail dated January 07, 2020 regarding your HDFC Bank credit
card account.
We wish to inform you that bank has been reviewing and responding to your queries with due diligence.
We are fully sensitised to your concerns expressed and taking complete note of the same, we have
once again taken a detailed review of your card account. We wish to reiterate that the outcome of our
review is consistent with our earlier observation / decision on your queries.
As communicated in our earlier responss, we reiterate that the Bank takes periodical review on the
special offers / promotions that are offered to our card members. Such offers are time bound and are
based on various parameters. The details of the same are communicated to the customers through e-
mailers and SMS alerts. Hence, we regret our inability to offer EMI facility on your card account at this
point of time. We seek your understanding on same.
We take this opportunity to clarify that in the event of non receipt of payment or delayed payment or
partial payment (which is less than the minimum amount due), late payment charges/finance charges
will be levied to the card account, as applicable.
Also, we wish to clarify that finance charges are levied at " 3.49 %" per month on receipt of payments
less than the total amount due or on non receipt of payment towards the outstanding as per your
statement by the payment due date. Finance charges are charged on the following transactions:
• On all retail purchase transactions in the previous statement from the respective transaction date till
the statement date.
• On the total outstanding amount from the statement date till the part payment date.
• On the outstanding balance till the next statement date.
• On the fresh purchases done thereafter, till the next billing cycle.

Having said the same, we regret our inability to accede to your request for reversal of Bank charges on
your card account.
We wish to inform you that our Bank’s stand has been communicated distinctly and this response may
be treated as final. We also wish to inform you that any further communication on this query from
yourself would not elicit a response from us. In light of this we request you to accept the decision in
good faith.
