Chapter 1

Introduction

Backgroud of the study

An allowance is also money given by parents to a child

every week that the child can spend.Money that you are given

regurlarly, especially to pay for a particular thing. The amount of

something that is permitted, especially within a set of regulations or

for a specified purpose. . The allowance is the need for our daily

living especially for studyers who come to the day they need to spit

and do not spend on things that are unthinkable. . We allow an

allowance because we get the purchase of these . The thing we

need and the allowance is also what I need to eat and go home.

There is a great deal of allowance because if we do not have to go

hungry and we can not buy the ones we need or need in schools.

there are also students who lack the allowance so sometimes the

student dropping their score on their record because there is no

purchasing need or requirments to pass according to (Eggen,2009)

Statement of the problem

This research generally aimed to study about the Daily

Allowace of G-10 Franklin at Tayug National High School , School

Year 2018-19 Specifically it aims to answer the following

Questions!

1. What is the allowance of G-10 Franlin?

2. What is the measure of position in terms:

Q1, Q2, Q3, D3, D5, D7, P25, P50 ,P70?

3.What is the Percentile Rank of the Mean?

Significance of the Study

The result of this study will provide emperical data on the

allowance. Moreover, results may serve as basis by the school

administration to formulate an intervention scheme to lessen the

allowance.

Likewise, results may serve as an eye opener to the

mathematics teachers on the way they manage allowance between

and among themselves and come up with strategies.

Scope and Limitation

This research will focus on the Daily Allowance of Grade 10

Franklin of the year 2018-2019.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

In this chapter, related literature and studies were presented

.The details of the review are presented in suceeding disscussions.

According to Godfrey, (2013) Allowance is an amount given. It is

a need for teenagers where they can save up for their wants or

daily needs. Its history concerns the development means of

carrying out transactions involving a medium ofexchange. Money is

any clearly identifiable object of value that is generallyaccepted as

payment. There is a motion that is working on teaching basic

personal finances to high school studentsbefore they graduate. A

budget is clearly the key to succeeding financially.Students think

that a way to pay for college is student loans, but there are

otheroptions like scholarships, financial aid or work options. Some

can take investingclasses where students can learn the process of

investing and budgeting. As astudent there are also other things to

spend on, it can be wants or needs not justschool supplies.

Thompson,(2007)Finding a job during summer may help students

save up. Finishing the required hours for a daywill be rewarded with
weekly or daily salaries. Employment can provide

valuableexperience for youth. It teaches responsibility, develops

organizational and timemanagement skills, and can help youth

save money for post-secondary education.Jobs can also help youth

form good work habits, gain valuable work experiences, and

become financially independent. Youth—especially those who are

black,Hispanic, or economically disadvantaged—who have some

employmentexperience while in school are less likely to drop out

than those who do not workduring high school.

RESEARCH METHOLOGY

This chapter presents on overview on how the research will be

undertaken it includes the following major topics:research

design, locale of the study.respondents of the study, data gathering

instruments, data gathering procedure and statistical treatment of

data.

Research Design

The study will use the descriptive research design.Descriptive

research is used when a reseacher seeks to assess

attitudes,perceptionand opinions (Cohen,2003).The descriptive

method provides accurate description of the condition and

associations between variables to make plaucible statements on

the influences of thes variables that were studied.

Respondents of the study

The students of (G10-Franlin) of Tayug National High

School,School year 2018-19 will be the respondents of this study.

Sampling Scheme
This study will use complete enumeration of the whole

population of 56 of students G-10 Franklin of Tayug National

High,School Year 2018-19

Research Intruments

The instrument which will be used in this study is a set of

questionnaires on information about the allowance of the students.

Data Collection Procedure

The survey questionnares on allowance will be distributed to

the students and the reseachers will retrieved the same after it will

be accomplished by the students respondents.

Data Analysis

For the allowance of the student respondents, data will be

analyzed using the mean, measure of position:quartiles, deciles

and percentiles, and percentile rank of the mean.

The mean of allowance will be interpreted using the following

scale:
201 and above Very High

151-200 High

101-150 Moderate

51-100 Low

50 and below Very Low

PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS OF DATA AND

INTERPRETATION OF FINDING

analysis of the data gathered to answer specific problems and the

interpretation of findings.

The first quartile is equal to 52,then 25% of the allowance is less than or

equal to 52 .This implies that many of the students hace an allowance of

more than 52 pesos per day

The second quartile is equal to 71.08,then 50% of the allowance is less

than or equal to 71.08.This implies that many of the students hace an

allowance of more than 71.08 pesos per day.

The third quartile is equal to 89.7,then 75% of the allowance is less than

or equal to 89.7.This implies that many of the students hace an allowance

of more than 89.7 pesos per day.

The fifth decile is equal to 55.4,then 50% of the allowance is less than or

equal to 55.4.This implies that many of the students hace an allowance of

more than 55.4 pesos per day.

The seveth decile is equal to 85.78,then 70% of the allowance is less than

or equal to 85.78.This implies that many of the students hace an

allowance of more than 85.78 pesos per day.

The ninth decile is equal to 117.65,then 90% of the allowance is less than

or equal to 117.65.This implies that many of the students hace an

allowance of more than 117.65 pesos per day.

The twenty-fifth percentile is equal to 51.48,then 25% of the allowance is

less than or equal to 51.48.This implies that many of the students hace an

allowance of more than 117.65 pesos per day.

The 50th is equal to 70.59,then 50% of the allowance is less than or equal

to 70.59.This implies that many of the students hace an allowance of more

than 70.59 pesos per day.

The seventy-fifth is equal to 89.7,then 75% of the allowance is less than or

SUMMARY,CONCLUSION AND RECONMENDATION

This Chapter summarized the findings of the study based on

the problems, gives and presents the conclusions which serves as the

basis for offering some recommendation.

SUMMARY

This study fucos the allowance of 56 students of G-10

Franlin of Tayug National High School, School Year 2018-

2019.Descriptive research design was used in this study.Data were

gathered thru a questionnairs that was given to the

respondents.Aprropriate statistics were employed such a mean,measures

of position:quartiles, deciles, and percentiles and percentile rank of the

mean

CONCLUSIONS

On the basis of the Findings of this study, the following

conclusion are arrived at :

1. because the lack of a student's allowance will be difficult for the daily

schooling needs

RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the formulated conclusions , the following

recommendations are offered :

1. The students may conduct parallel studies about Daily allowance
