Kwikdek Slab Formwork System
KWIKDEK Introduction
KwikDek Slab Shoring & Decking
The KwikDek Slab Formwork Decking System replaces the secondary and primary beam in soffit support and provides
a flat support grid for decking out with plywood or other conventional materials, labour costs are greatly reduced in conjunction
with the speed of construction to provide an economical solution to decking problems.
Kwikstage requires fewer different pieces than most other similar system and can be stored in less space.
This unique system allows the slab formwork to be stripped only (3) three days after concrete has been poured.
The Drophead allows the support work to remain in place thereby avoiding re‐propping
Features of the kwikDek system:
• Maximum utilisation of equipment
• Eliminates any deflection of slab
• No re‐propping required
• versatile with unlimited adjustments
KwikDek Shoring and Decking is a highly versatile,
very competitive slab formwork system capable of being
used in many applications:
• Braces fit to the standards using half couplers ensuring no
loose parts, minimising loss and damage charges
• Simple erection procedure ensures stringent safety levels
can be easily achieved
• Make‐up areas around columns can be supported simply by
using infill beams, saving customer time and money
• Quick striking system, enabling early removal of deck beams
and plywood, saving time and cost
• Variable ledger positions to suit leg loading, increasing
flexibility of the system
• Quick and easy to erect ledgers and transoms are fixed to
the vertical standards using captive wedge connections,
eliminating the need for transverse bracing

Stage 1 Dismantling Procedure
Complete slab and support system erected. Stripping follows the same procedure the
techniques of early dismantling are followed or not.
The advantages of early stripping is that the primary
beams and infills may be removed while concrete
soffit remains supported and completely undisturbed
during its curing period.
Stage 2 The primary beams and infills may therefore be re‐used

Primary beams and infills may be removed by striking
the drophead wedge. While the primary head remains
in contact with the concrete, the striking of the wedge
allows the beams to drop about 115mm giving
sufficient clearance for the removal of the infills.
Stage 3
After three days plywood, infill beams and decking beams are stripped
without removing the support. A double set of support is supplied.

ground after striking, but must be removed manually.
To assemble KwikDek Shoring and Decking remove
the drophead assembly from the jack at one end and
connect it to the beam.
The completed with its drophead can now be raised
and dropped over the jack.
