Bb125mo TDS

BB125MO is a polypropylene heterophasic copolymer intended for sheet extrusion that features excellent processability and melt strength. It provides high stiffness without loss of impact strength, even at low temperatures. BB125MO is especially recommended for production of corrugated board and has very good organoleptic properties. It can be extruded using normal PP extrusion processes with melt temperatures between 180-220°C and is suitable for recycling using modern shredding and cleaning methods.

BB125MO
Polypropylene Heterophasic Copolymer for Sheet

Description
BB125MO is a low melt flow rate polypropylene heterophasic copolymer intended for sheet extrusion. It
features an extremely good processability with improved melt strength, and a good melt stability. As all
polypropylenes, it shows excellent stress crack resistance and is resistant to chemicals.

BB125MO is characterised by a very high stiffness without any loss in the impact strength, even at low
temperatures. BB125MO has very good organoleptic properties and can be combined with any colour
masterbatch without discolouring problems.

Applications
BB125MO is especially recommended for production of corrugated board.

Storage and handling

BB125MO should be stored in dry conditions at temperatures below 50ºC and protected from UV-light.

Improper storage can initiate degradation, which results in odour generation and colour changes and can
have negative effects on the physical properties of the product.

Safety
BB125MO is not classified as dangerous preparation.

Dust and fines from the product carry a risk of dust explosion. All equipment should be properly earthed.
Inhalation of dust should be avoided as it may cause irritation of the respiratory system. Small amounts of
fumes are generated during processing of the product. Proper ventilation is therefore required.

Recycling
The product is suitable for recycling using modern methods of shredding and cleaning. In-house
production waste should be kept clean to facilitate direct recycling.

A Safety Data Sheet is available on request. Please contact your Borealis representative for more details
on various aspects of safety, recovery and disposal of the product.
