Notes:
1. Students will have to generally choose any two courses as Elective-I (MASANS 303 and Elective-II
(MASANS 304) within the Department in the third semester. However, they may also take any 2
Elective courses from amongst the 10 Electives (conditions apply). [See courses for 3rd semester].
2. While the students have to choose any two Electives (as Elective-III and Elective-IV) in the fourth
semester, they may opt for any one or both the Elective papers within the departmental course
structure or even in any other department in the Faculty of Arts in the fourth semester (conditions
apply). Any Elective course can be shifted to a different course in the same semester within the
department ( conditions apply).
3. Students from other departments in the faculty of Arts may opt for any Elective paper (conditions
apply).
4. Credits in the Lecture (L) mode shall be decided on the performance in end-semester written tests.
Credits in the Tutorial (T) mode shall be decided on the performance in internal tests. Credits in the
Practical (P) mode will be decided on the extent and quality of field work/social outreach report.
