with members of the community. We respond to enquiries from the community and
work with our clients to provide them with information and support to meet their
obligations to manage their taxation and superannuation affairs.
We ensure that reasonable steps are taken to recover amounts owing to the ATO and
have responsibility to provide clients and their representatives every opportunity and
assistance to meet their obligations and encourage them to work with us where they
experience difficulties.
The Channel Transition team’s focus is on creating an environment where the most
attractive interaction options for clients are also the most efficient and effective options
for the ATO. We inform law design, business and system enhancements to support
development of the ATO’s Service and Channel Strategy. We identify opportunities to
apply a ‘digital by default’ approach within the current environment and drive targeted
