1) Describe The Development Of Rail Transportation In Malaysia.
On 1 June 1885, the first railways line was open and about 13 km long. It
ran between Port Weld and Taiping, the heart of the tin-rich Larut Valley in

In Malaysia,Rail transport comprises of heavy rail, Keretapi Tanah Melayu
Berhad (KTM), mass rapid transit (MRT), light rapid transit (LRT), monorail,
airport rail link and a funicular railway line. Heavy rail is mostly used for intercity
passenger and freight transport as well as some urban public transport, while
rapid transit is used for intra-city urban public transport. There are two airport rail
link services linking Kuala Lumpur with the Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Malayan Railways Limited. It was in the British colonial era when it was
