I) Listen to the conversation with a tourist in Vancouver and check Yes or No. Then, listen again and
write the answers to the questions, using yet or already.

Has she… Yes No Answers.

1. Been to the Vancouver  . Yes, she has already been to

Aquarium? the Vancouver Aquarium.

3. Been to the top of Grouse

Mountain?

4. Seen the Capilano

Suspension Bridge?

Harbour Center Tower?

II) Answer each questions, using real information. If the answer is yes, write when this happened.

friends played to have a club house on a tree.

1. Have you ever gone to a cruise?

2. Have you ever met a famous person?
3. Have you ever tried Mexican food?
4. Have you ever played golf?
5. Have you ever fallen in love?
Obj#4 PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS.
We use present perfect continuous to talk about unfinished action. unfinished (or continuous) actions
are those that began in the past, continue in the present, and may possibly continue into the future.

Example: I’ve been living here since 2001. (the action started in 2001 but you’re still living there now.)
FORM:
Sub + (have or has) + been+ verb(ing)+ complement.
I have been studying here for 5 years.
She has been calling you since 3pm.

When you want to make question with present perfect continuous, It’s common to use “how long…?”
To ask the length of time that someone has done an activity.

QUESTION FORM: how long+ (have or has)+ subject+ been+ verb(ing)+ complement?

Example: How long have you been teaching English?

I have been teaching English for 9 years.

REMBEMBER: The difference between present perfect simple and present perfect continuous is that
the continuous form emphasizes the continuing time more than present perfect simple, with present
perfect simple the action may have finished.

1) Read the dialogue and answer true or false.

LUCY: What have you two been doing? It’s two o’clock now. And you have been missing since twelve
thirty . We’ve all ha our lunch and we have been waiting for you for ages!.
HOLLY: I’m sorry, Lucy. I can explain.
LUCY: And Alison has been worrying about you. She has called ACE three times to see if you were
there.

LUCY: you’ve made this up! You haven’t been talking to top model.
