    A Wedding Anniversary Speech (from daughter Emerita “Tita”)

    From the bottom of my heart, allow me to express my warm greetings


    to my parents, relatives, friends, guests, and everyone present here to make
    this 65th Wedding Anniversary of my parents extra special! Your presence
    in today’s occasion is not only a declaration of how blessed my Mama
    Angeling and Papa Elding with enduring friendships, but it is also a
    testament to the type of people you are. You’re all wonderful. Thank you
    for joining.

    Firstly, I would want to congratulate my parents on their 65 th wedding


    anniversary! Ma and Pa, even though it’s been many years of your
    marriage, for me--- it seems like you have just got married. I take this
    pride to say that your love is truly an inspiration for everyone around. I say
    this with great delight, that I feel I am the luckiest daughter on this earth.
    This is because despite making a lot of mistakes, you have never made me
    feel bad about myself, instead, taught me right things at every walk of life.
    I can’t thank both of you enough for giving me this precious life and for
    teaching me how to become better every day.

    Ma, thanks a lot for being the most patient, loving, caring,
    understanding, and positive person. Thank you for imparting me good
    behaviours and moral values and making me realize the difference between
    right and wrong. You work so hard every single day for us and our family
    that it’s truly overwhelming. You have always shown yourself as a
    professional mother with a kind heart. With that, I am setting my life goals
    by drawing an inspiration from you. You both are the best parents in the
    world. Your strength and love for each other that I feel everyday keep my
    world going. Thank you for all your hugs, kisses and best wishes, for
    sending us in school and for tolerating all our mischief happily.
    Pa, thank you for being so protective, caring, understanding, funny
    and a giving father. You have never brought your stress into our family and
    most importantly, thank you for always putting Mama Angeling on your
    priority. Through the years, your devotion to Mama Angeling is oviously
    captivating. Thank you for making our family strong and united. For me as
    your eldest daughter, you have always been my confidante and my best
    friend. You have always inspired me to move forward and continue to strive
    to be my best. You have always been a great influence on my life, and I am
    very thankful that I have such a role model to learn from.  Pa, you are the
    most humble, down to earth and successful person I have ever seen. Plus
    you have knit our family really close with your constant love and care.
    Nobody could have raised us better than you, Ma and Pa.

    Whatever I am today, whatever I have achieved till today and


    whatever I will achieve in the future, my entire success will be dedicated to
    both of you. It wouldn’t have been possible without your support and love. I
    can thank both of you over and over again for giving me so much of love,
    and for constantly being one of those people whom I look up to.

    There are so many things that you both do for me, but those things
    went without recognition. I may not be able to appreciate you both, even
    with a simple thank you, but today, I thank you for each and everything, for
    all those little things that made the entire family to stick together, and to be
    happy as always. On this auspicious and very special day, I thank you both
    for all those loving moments, for all those values that you have gifted us
    with, and for always being there when we needed you the most. I pray to
    GOD for your good health, and that may your love flourish every day, and
    you both continue to share the bliss of a conjugal life.

    Once again, Ma and Pa, we your daughters and son would say “Happy
    65th Wedding Anniversary!!!
