SELF-PACED LEARNING MODULE FOR THY 2

(CHRISTIAN VISION OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY)

Greetings, dear Thomasian Learners!

In view of the implementing guidelines for Theology Courses which is based on the Continuity Plan of
UST-Institute of Religion, we have a 5-week finals period for this Second Term, covering the 1. topics for
our course thru the use of asynchronous mode of instruction and 2. fulfilling our academic requirement
(final gradable assessment). Since it is self-paced, you are at your own pacing with the assistance of your
classmates and group members who will be your collaborators in all the formative assessments as well
as the final gradable assessment.

This module is meant to guide and instruct you step by step in our online teaching-learning process. This
covers all the topics for the Finals Period with (ideal) target dates included. Each topic is composed of
four phases of instruction (Study-Research-Analysis-Action) which serve as the method of delivering our
lessons. All parts of the process will help you achieve learning and fulfill your one final gradable
assessment indicated on the last part of the module. I highly encourage everyone to do the activities
provided even if they are considered formative assessments. They are non-gradable and do not affect
your final grade, but they will be monitored to check on your progress. At the end of the day, we give
premium to the process we have undertaken and not just to the final numerical grade we will receive at
the end of the term. Note: Kindly take a look on the final gradable assessment before you begin the
module to have a glimpse of what you are supposed to do for your final requirement.

May this serve as an aid as you do your self-paced learning while collaborating with your classmates in
different ways possible.

I hope that we will all work together to the fruition of this semester despite our challenging situation.

FINAL GRADABLE ASSESSMENT
To provide a package deal for couples entering the Sacrament of Marriage that will not
GOAL just give them a beautiful wedding ceremony but also a preparation for their marriage
and family life.
ROLE Wedding and Marriage Planners and Coordinators
AUDIENCE Couples seeking help for their marriage
You are a team of events ‘organizer specializing in wedding preparations and you are
SITUATION invited to one of the biggest PH wedding fairs. You are challenged to offer to the couples
your best, unique 3-in 1 package that will convince them to avail of your service.
Based on what you have learned in THY 2 about preparations for marriage, responsible
parenthood, and healthy family life, design a brochure that gives a brief yet informative
overview of your offer to the following services:
1. Wedding Package
2. Marriage Package
3. Family Life Package

Be guided with the following questions to help you plan of your services:
1. What are the different services that you will offer which will make your 3-in-1
package sellable because of its quality offer?
2. What makes your 3-in-1 package at par with the other wedding packages and
PRODUCT/ services?
PERFORMANCE 3. What makes your 3-in-1 package unique and worth-availing of?

Other details:
 Give a name for your team/company and place it in your brochure
 The 3 parts mentioned above must be part of your offered package, thus, be able
to provide concrete, doable services and put description on each.
 Write the name of your members at the last part of your brochure
 Your brochure must be limited to 1-2 pages, short bond paper size
(portrait/landscape)
 Submit in PDF or JPG format
 Submission is between May 18-23, 2020.

To ensure the quality of performance, the committee assigned to evaluate the video will
