1. When required, bleed the brake system, see Brake system, bleeding
2. Check the function of the fan hydraulics, see Cooling fan hydraulics, funktion check.
3. Warm up the machine until the brake system reaches working temperature.
4. Lock the frame joint with the frame joint lock. Place blocks in front of and behind the wheels.
Figure 1
5. Release the brake system pressure by depressing the brake pedal repeatedly (30–40 times). Connect the pressure gauge
to the checking point on the accumulator block.

Accumulator block, seen from underneath
6. Start the engine and wait until the brake system has been charged.
7. Check max. passive brake charging pressure by tilting in towards end position and read off the max. brake charging
pressure, see Brake system, specifications.
Stop the engine.
Any adjustment is carried out on the pressure-reducing valve (1) on the central valve.

3. Adjusting servo pressure, pressure-reducing valve
8. Carefully lower the pressure by braking until it begins to rise again. Read off the cut-in pressure, see Brake system,
specifications.
Read off the unloading (cut-out) pressure, see Brake system, specifications.
The cut-in pressure and the unloading pressure are not adjustable. They are determined by the V-ECU, which in its turn
receives signal from SE5218. If the unloading pressure or the cut-in pressure are not achieved, it may among other
things be because the max. brake charging pressure is too low or that SE5218 is faulty.
10. Depress the brake pedal several times to release the brake pressure. At the same time check the pressure on the
pressure gauge.
The pressure in the common accumulator then drops slowly down to the accumulator precharging pressure and then it
drops rapidly.
NOTE!
If the precharging pressure in the accumulator is less than what is given in the specifications, it must be replaced, see
Brake accumulator, specifications.
Remove the hose and the pressure gauge from the accumulator block.

WARNING
Risk of high-pressure oil.
Release the brake system pressure by depressing the brake pedal repeatedly (30–40 times).
11. Remove the accumulator for the front and rear circuit respectively.
12. Start the engine and wait until the brake system has been charged. Check that the vehicle message for low brake
pressure has been extinguished. Check that there are no error codes.
