In the park are a few things to do. You can explore the park by walking, cycling
and flying with a plane/helicopter.
2. Space needle
Info about the Space Needle:
The Space Needle is a observation tower in the middle of Seattle. The Space
Needle is 184 meters high and was build in 1961. The tower is the symbol of
the city Seattle.
What to do there:
You can go into the building and see the city from above. You will go up with a
elevator. Also there is a floor of glass where you can stand on and look down.
3. Mount Saint Helens
Info about the Mount Saint Helens:
The Mount Saint Helens is an 2550 meters high volcano. The volcano is famous
because in 1980 it erupted a lot of people died there. First the volcano was
2950 meters high but due to the volcano eruption in 1980 a huge part of the
Mountain broke of. The last time the volcano erupted was in 2008.
What to do there:
In the park you can do a helicopter tour, you can climb the volcano and you can
go hiking

eruption of 1980 and how it looks after the eruption.
4. San Juan islands
Info about the San Juan Islands:
The San Juan islands are islands close to the state of Washington. The islands
were discovered in the 18th century. There is no bridge to the islands you have
to go by boat or plane.
What to do there:
Magnificent orca whales live in the San Juan Islands year round, and this is the
best place to see them in the wild. You can also spot humpback, minkes and
gray whales.
5. Washington state Capitol Building

What to do there:
The Olympic national park is located on the Olympic Peninsula. The park was
established the 29th of June in 1938. The area of the park is 3,733 km2. The park
is next to the pacific sea. In the park are several roads but the roads do not go
into the interior of the park.
In the park you can go walking, cycling and horse-riding. Because there are
many wild rivers rafting is possible.
7. Seattle Great Wheel
The Seattle great wheel is a giant Ferris wheel at Pier 57 on Elliot bay in Seattle.
With an overall height of 53.3 meters, it was the tallest Ferris wheel on the
west coast. The building of the Seattle Great Wheel was finished in 2012
The Seattle Great Wheel is open for public tourist. A tour in the Seattle Great
Wheel takes at least 15 minutes. You go around 3 times.
8. Bellingham
Bellingham is the 13th largest city in the state Washington. In Bellingham live
86,720 people. The city is a popular tourist destination known for its easy
access to outdoor recreation in the San Juan islands.
Every year is in Bellingham the Ski to Sea race. It is a team relay race made up
of seven legs: cross country skiing, downhill skiing, running, road biking,
canoeing, mountain biking and kayaking. The race starts at the Mount Baker ski
area and make their way down to the finish line on Bellingham bay
Also every year there is The Bellingham festival of Music it is an concert held in
Juli.
9. Spokane
Spokane is the 2th largest city in Washington. Its named after the Spokane
(Indians) people. It is located on the Spokane river west of the rocky
mountains. Spokane is known as the birthplace of the national movement that
led to the eventual establishment of Father’s day as a national holliday in the
U.S.
In Spokane are a lot of sports to watch you can visit one of the games.
10. Pike place Market
The pike place market is a public market at the Elliot bay. The market opened
at 1907, and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers markets
in the United States. It is a place of business for many small farmers.
