Modes of Ventilation
Ventilation type: volume cycled (pressure control, time cycled or I:E cycled optional). Modes: assist/control, SIMV, CPAP and apnea
ventilation.
Controls and Displays
Tidal volume (compliance compensated): 100 to 2500 ml (50 to 2500 ml – pediatric option). Machine rate/apnea rate: 0.5 to 80 bpm
(0.5 to 120 bpm – pediatric option). Peak flow (BTPS compensated): 10 to 120 LPM volume cycled 10 to 160 LPM spontaneous, PPS
and PCV. Oxygen percent: 21 to 100% (integral blender). Educated button provides 100% for 3 minutes. PEEP/CPAP: 0 to 30
cmH2O (50 cmH2O optional). Sensitivity: -0.5 to –20 cmH2O. Inspiratory pause: 0 to 2 secs. Waveform: Square, sinusoidal,
accelerating or decelerating. Positive pressure support: 0 to 70 cmH2O (above PEEP). Sigh volume: 100 to 2500 ml. Sigh rate: 0 to
20 sph, multiple of 1 to 3. Manual breath: single breath. Manual sigh: single sigh.
Alarms and Indicators

PEEP/CPAP alarm: 0 to 30 cmH2O (50 cmH2O optional). High respiratory rate alarm: 0 to 90 bpm (0-130 bpm – pediatric option).
Apnea alarm: 5 to 60 seconds. Low pressure oxygen and air alarms: <26 psig ±3 psig. Low internal battery alarm: last 4 minutes of
battery operation. High PEEP/CPAP: 10 cmH2O>PEEP/CPAP for 3 seconds, 6 to 10 cmH2O>PEEP/CPAP for 5 secs. Airway leak
alarm: 6 LPM. Insufficient inspiration time: <240 Milliseconds. Insufficient expiratory time: <200 milliseconds. Exhalation leak:
exhaled flow>4 LPM and >10% of delivered flow. Obstructed tube: tube or prox pressure line occluded. Alarm silence: 60 seconds.
