• INTRODUCTION-

Heritage Museum is a museum facility primarily dedicated to the presentation of


historical and cultural information about a place and its people. The museum
serves as a world of discovery, and uses exciting concepts to explore the history,
architecture, art, culture and heritage of the place. The museum galleries through
artifacts, installations and new technology present the history of the place.

The general concept of heritage museum is to educate their visitors about the
history, cultural, and natural heritage of the city, region or country or about a
chosen subject of special interest, while also preserving these things for future
generations.

 AIM- To design a heritage museum using green building technologies.

 OBJECTIVE-

1. To promote green building concept.


2. To educate the visitors about the history, cultural, and natural heritage of
the city, region or country or about a chosen subject of special interest,
while also preserving these things for future generations.
3. To promote heritage through workshop spaces.

 NEED AND SCOPE- Heritage Museum is a museum facility primarily


dedicated to the presentation of historical and cultural information about a
place and its people. The museum serves as a world of discovery, and uses
exciting concepts to explore the history, architecture, art, culture and heritage
of the place. The museum galleries through artefacts, installations and new
technology present the history of the place.

 LIMITATIONS- In this study objective will be limit not to design training


area and to use green building principles like; structure design efficiency,
energy efficiency and material efficiency.

 METHODOLOGY-The method that used to collect data for the related


topic is divided into two categories; primary data and secondary data. The
collected data is then analyzed and concluded.

 PRIMARY DATA –
1. Observation

3. Plan analysis
4. Interviews
5. Questionnaire

• SECONDARY DATA- The secondary data is obtained through books, journals


newspaper articles and internet sources. Secondary data is used to acquire
literature review. Literature review is the basis in order to get the general idea
of the research subject

 CONCLUSION- The museum identifies the image of the city/region so the


planning of a heritage museum must be done in every region.

 Site - National Museum of Natural History has proposed Museum building


complex at Bhairon Marg, behind Purana Quila, New Delhi.

Geographically, the proposed project site is located at:


 Latitude 28° 36' 39.57"N
 Longitude 77° 14' 48.46"E

SITE Taj Nagari Phase 1, Near Shilpgram Taj East Gate Road
The museum is being built on a plot of 25,000 square metres (2.5 hectares) located 1.3 km away from the
eastern gate of Taj Mahal - a UNESCO World Heritage site in Agra. Conceived by the Uttar Pradesh
government, the project is expected to complete by the end of 2017 at a cost Rs 140 Crores (21 million US
dollars).
