Thesis work - ‘Investigation on wideband mm-wave microstrip antenna arrays’

Brief: Series fed antenna array is compact and suitable for applications with space
constraint, but suffers the major problem of beam squinting and narrow bandwidth. At
mm-wave frequency the fabrication inaccuracies of printed circuit board (PCB)
technology can significantly affect the performances of an antenna array. Therefore,
wideband antenna arrays would be an appealing solution to increase their robustness.
The main focus of the thesis is to analyze the problems with series fed array at mm-
wave for automotive radar applications. Implement and test techniques to improve
their performance. The fabricated array operates at 77 GHz frequency with a bandwidth
of 4 GHz.
Tools- MATLAB, CST
