    Yves Séguin announces an increase in the rate of the tax credit for
    film production services, which will rise from 11% to 20%

    Québec, December 30, 2004 – Mr. Yves Séguin, Minister of Finance, today
    announced an increase in the rate of the refundable tax credit for film production
    services, which will rise from 11% to 20%.

    The Minister pointed out that this rapid intervention reflects the government’s firm
    desire to maintain Québec’s position as an ideal film shooting location for foreign
    producers. This initiative, together with the recognized expertise of the artisans of
    Québec’s film and television industry, will make it possible to consolidate Québec’s
    place in this highly competitive industry.

    Information Bulletin 2004-12, made public today, presents the terms of application of
