WORK PERFORMA DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Asses the physical and mental status of patients.
 Admission and management of critical patients.
 Preparation of patient unit,assisting helpless patients , Meeting Nutritional needs , Ryles
tube feeding and aspiration
 Bed bath, oral cares, Hair cares, Enema and catheterization
 Cardiac monitoring, care of patients on ventilator support.
 IV infusion, injections through variations routes ,blood transfusions.
 Continuous assessment of the patients clinical status by direct observations.
 Accompanies doctors on rounds & implement treatment as ordered.
 Maintaining isolation techniques.
 Oxygen administration,cardio pulmonary resuscitations , defibrillating the patients.
 Care of patient on ventilator & CVP line.
 Monitoring BP and Temperature
 Assist the doctors in performing Diagnostic & Therapeutic procedures like insertion of
central line, arterial line , end tracheal intubation , LP Dressing infra costal tube
insertions & dressing , bone marrow aspiration , Pleural tapping
 Provide emotional support to the patient and relatives
 Maintain clean and safe equipment and maintain patient record.
 Administration of medications , ECG recording , blood collection for investigation
 Sent diet chart to the dietitian according to the doctor orders
 Demonstrate Knowledge of legal implication of nursing action
 Make good relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
 Supervision and orientation of students and trainees participate in staff training
programs.
 Transfer & discharge of the patients.
 Keep the dignity and status of the profession reports verbally by going bed to bed .
Writing the progress of the patients at each shift change.
