Subject: National Education Policy 2020– regarding

As you are aware that the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 has been approved by
the Union Cabinet on 29th July 2020 which aims to address the many growing
developmental imperatives of our country and is aligned to the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development. The National Education Policy, 2020 is built on the foundational
pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability.

Recognising the critical and crucial role of the teachers in the successful implementation
of NEP, the Ministry of Education is organising an Online Competition for teachers on
‘Preparation of Communication Material’ and inviting views/suggestions/comments
of Principals/ Head Teachers/Teachers on implementation of various recommendations of
NEP.

I. Online Competition for Teachers on ‘Preparation of Communication Material’

The Ministry of Education in partnership with MyGov is organising an Online Competition


for Teachers on ‘Preparation of Communication Material’ relating to National Education
Policy (NEP-2020). The participating teachers will have to prepare communication
material on different themes of NEP 2020 related to school education. The 10 best
selected entries will be forwarded to NCERT for National Level Selection. The entries
submitted by the teachers may be used by the Ministry of Education in future and the
submission of entry will be treated as the permission for the same on behalf of the
participant teacher.

The complete guidelines regarding the competition are given in annexure A.

II. Call for Suggestions for Effective Implementation of NEP 2020

The Department of School Education and Literacy has invited views/suggestions/


comments on each theme of the NEP 2020 related to school education from the school
Principals/Head Teachers/Teachers from all over the country on how to take the
implementation process of NEP 2020 forward.

All suggestions received shall be examined by a team of experts from NCERT. If required,
Principals/Head Teachers/Teachers whose suggestions are found useful for incorporating
in NCF or in the implementation plan shall be individually contacted.

Principals/Head Teachers/Teachers should register themselves on the link
https://innovateindia.mygov.in/nep2020/ and then give suggestions based on their own
experiences and learnings on as many areas as they deem fit. The dates for uploading
suggestions are 24th August 2020 to 31st August 2020.

The complete participation guidelines along with the important dates in this regard
are given at https://innovateindia.mygov.in/nep2020/

School Heads are requested to bring the information in the notice of all concerned and
ensure maximum participation in both the programmes for the successful implementation
of NEP 2020.

Communication Format
The communication material can be in one of the following formats:
1. Film: Duration-1 to 2 minutes, in MP4 format
2. Posters: Poster size: 12” X 8”
3. Infographics: In the form of Power Point Presentation or Slides
Levels of Competition:
School Level: The competition will be held at school level first between 5th September to
25th September 2020. The best selected entry at the school level should be uploaded at
the following link on 26th September 2020:

All the entries received from the schools will be assessed by CBSE for selecting 10
best entries, irrespective of theme and format.
National Level: The 10 best entries selected by CBSE will be forwarded to NCERT for
national level selection.
