    Extension Project

    Method of Statement for Underground ELV Cable installation work,

    Introduction:

    This method of statement will be used as a guideline to carry out Excavation/Trenching, Pipe Laying and
    Cable Pulling.

    Work Procedure

    1. Before work commence, conduct site survey on the ground and mark the way to excavate for
    cable laying.
    2. Supervisor to conduct tool box meeting to brief all workers for the safety matters and to ensure all
    worker workers with full PPE.
    3. Any underground facilities that near the excavation area must be carried out manually using hand
    tools.
    4. Find out the proper drive way for Excavator to move in and out from behind the existing
    warehouse building and Office.
    5. Mark the place that should be one side of the way of trench for dumping soil.
    6. The depth of cable trench should not exceed 1 m from ground level.
    7. Start point of excavation work should be behind the Existing Office and dump the soil at one side
    of the trench.
    8. And continue excavation according to the way of Underground cable and to the place that
    between Existing Warehouse and New Warehouse No. -1
    9. Team of Manhole builder should start after excavation work and team of pipe laying team as well.
    10. Make sure the pipe is not blocking any material inside, no damage and should be straight.
    11. Backfilling work should start immediately after pipe laying work and manhole building work to
    avoid the work delay.
    12. Cable will be physically inspected before installation to ensure no damage is present.

    13. Check cable routing plan and pulling cable properly to designated points.
    14. Use guide wire and similar equipment when wire pulling, to support the tension and avoid possible
    damage.
    15. Continuity circuit test should be conducted according to the testing procedure.
