DAY 1: Jan 12 OSAKA

14:55H Flight from Manila (NAIA 3) to Osaka

20:20H Arrival at Kansai International Airport (OSAKA)

 At JR West office at Osaka airport, exchange the following:

(1) JR pass voucher (Discovery Tour) and

(2) Haruka voucher (KLOOK) to get train tickets (paid tickets)

 From airport terminal, use Haruka voucher ticket and take Haruka

Haruka 58 train to Shin-Osaka station (Available departure times:

08:46PM, 09:25 PM and 10:16PM only)

 From Shin-osaka station exit via NORTH GATE then walk for

10minutes (650meters) to KARAKSA HOTEL GRANDE SHIN-

OSAKA TOWER

Note: From the hotel, pick up the parcel with the pocket wifi (paid

already)

Day 2: Jan 13 (Monday) UNIVERSAL STUDIO DAY TOUR

Note: Karaksa hotel has sauna & indoor pool spa

7AM: Breakfast at the hotel

8AM: Leave at the Hotel then walk going to the station

08:14AM (exact time of the train) From shin-osaka station, take train to

Osaka station. Then, Osaka station to Universal-city station (pay normal

fare, don’t use the JR pass yet)

*Visit the Harry Potter attraction first due to long line after

*Harry Potter Winter Magic night- 05:55 PM/ 06:15pm/ 06:35 pm

*Crystal Promise (Christmas special)- 05:40 pm/ 0710pm

*Universal Parade show at 9pm

DAY 3: Jan 14 (Tuesday) OSAKA Day tour

BRING PASSPORT TODAY to get discount at Don Quijote & other

attractions

7AM: Breakfast at the hotel

8am: Leave at the hotel then walk going to Shin-osaka train station

8:09AM: Take train from Shin-osaka station to Hommachi station. From

Hommachi station, train to Tanimachiyonchome station. Then, walk for

1.3km (16 mins) to OSAKA CASTLE

8:45AM- 12:00H (1st STOP: OSAKA CASTLE)

 Tour & lunch at Osaka castle (Cost 600 yen) Tip: You can get a

discount rate if you will show your JR ticket

12-3 pm (2nd STOP: SHITENNOJI TEMPLE/ skip this temple)

 Shitennoji Temple 300 YEN- ride JR Pass going to Tennoji

Station (5 mins travelling time by train)

 Or SKIP then go to the next attraction

3pm onwards

 Kuromon Market (Food shop/ seafood market)

 Dinner at ICHIRAN RAMEN DOTONBORI

 Shopping at Shinsaibashi shopping street

 Don Quijote Dotonbori (Shopping for pasalubong)

DAY 4: Jan 15 Travel from Osaka to Kyoto

7am: Breakfast at the hotel

11:00 AM Check out at the hotel

12:00AM Take train to Kyoto station (15 mins travelling time) then walk

going to the hotel (7 mins walk)

1:00-2:00 PM FREE TIME/ LUNCH

2:00 – 3:00PM

Check-in at HOTEL M’S EST KYOTO SOUTH STATION and rest

 Note: If room is still not available, then just leave bags at the front

desk, then just check-in later, but take important belongings with

you

3:00-5:00 PM (1st STOP: Fushi Shrine)

 Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine (FREE, open 24 hrs)- ride JR Pass

going to Inara Station then walk to the shrine (6 mins walk)

5:00pm onwards

 Nishikin Market (Dinner and shopping)

 From Inari station, take a train going to Kyoto station, then to Shijo

station. Then, walk for 8 mins going to Nishiki market shopping

district

DAY 5: JAN 16 KYOTO DAY TOUR

*No free breakfast at the hotel but there are lots of convenience stores

(Family mart) nearby or available at Kyoto station

7AM sharp Leave at the hotel, walk going to KYOTO station (Breakfast

at Family mart/ anywhere)

08:01 (exact departure time of train) 1st STOP: BAMBOO FOREST

Take a train from Kyoto station to Saga-Arashiyama station then walk to

ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO FOREST (12 mins)

 Visit Monkey Park, Togetsukyo bridge, Tenryuji temple and

Bamboo groves

From 12pm onwards, visit the following temple by bus:

 Ryoanji Temple (cost 500 YEN, close at 5pm)

 Kinkaku-ji Temple (cost 620 YEN, close at 5pm)

08:07 From Kujo station take train going to Karasuma Oike station, then
transfer train, take train to Nijo-jo castle

11:04 PM Take a bus from Nijo-jo Castle going to Kinkakujimichi
Temple (18 mins) OR SKIP this then go to the next temple
1pm Visit Ryoanji Temple (500 YEN) close at 5pm
From Kinkakuji Mae, take a bus going to Ryoanji mae (5 mins)
3pm onwards Arashiyama district - ride a JR Pass going to Saga-
Arashiyama Station
DAY 6: JAN 17 EXPLORE KYOTO

730am Leave at the hotel, then walk going to Kujo station

Catch the bus at Oishibashi stop going to Gojozaka stop. Then walk for

1km (15 mins) going to Kiyomizu-dera temple (Free entry)

9:00- 12:00

Tour around KIYOMIZU-DERA temple

12:00- 02:00PM

Tour around Gion district & Yasaka Shrine

- Take a bus going to Gion from Gojozaka stop

02:00-4:00pm (OPTIONAL)

Tour around Nijo-jo castle (cost 620 YEN, close at 4pm)

- From Gion stop, take a bus going to Nijojo Mae then home

4PM onwards- Free time / NISHIKIN MARKET

DAY 7: JAN 18, TRAVEL FROM KYOTO TO TOKYO

Note: Make sure to bring snacks & drinks with you. Buy bento boxes

from the Kyoto station. This is a long trip from Kyoto to Tokyo.

 Take Shinkansen HIKARI 518 train from Kyoto station to

Shinagawa station (151 mins. Travelling time)

 From Shinagawa station (arrive 1416H), take JR train to OMORI

(TOKYO) station (6 mins. Travelling time)

14:22H Arrival at Omori station, then walk going to HOTEL MYSTAYS

PREMIER OMORI (7 mins walk)

1445H: Check in and rest

1530H: Early dinner at HOMEMADE RAMEN MUGINAE (in front of the

hotel, opening hours: Weekdays 1130-1430H, 1800H while weekends

1130-1630H only)

 Visit famous Shibuya Crossing, Hachicko Statue (3 mins walk from

DAY 8: JAN 19 SHOPPING in TOKYO

Shibuya station, Don Quijote, Meiji Jingu Shrine

2nd Stop: Shinjuku Station (Optional)

 Visit Shinjuku Gyoen National park, Shinjuku shopping stores

3rd Stop: Nakamise Shopping street (Orange street)

 Take JR train to Kanda station, then from Kanda station, take a

train going to Asakusa station. Then, walk for 3 mins going to

Nakamise shopping street

-------Other option, after visiting Shibuya station, take a bus going to

Gotemba Outlet (2 hours by bus)

DAY 9: Jan 20 MT FUJI & GOTEMBA OUTLET DAY TOUR

Note: This is a long trip, ensure to bring snacks & bottled water with you.

1st stop: MT FUJI PANORAMIC ROPEWAY

2145H Arrival at Tokyo station then train to Omori station then back to

the Hotel

7:00 AM - AL DAY Hakone (Mt. Fuji Tour)

- take Tokaido Shinkansen line to Odawara Station, which is included in the JR

Pass. From Odawara or Hakone-Yumoto is taking the Hakone Tozan Railway to

Gora, followed by a cablecar and ropeway ride to Togendai at the northern end of of
