* OPENING HYMN 126 Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above MIT FREUDEN ZART
1. Sing praise to God who reigns above, the God of all creation,
the God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation.
With healing balm my soul is filled and every faithless murmur stilled:
To God all praise and glory.
2. The Lord is never far away, but through all grief distressing,
an ever present help and stay, our peace and joy and blessing.
As with a mother's tender hand, God gently leads the chosen band:
To God all praise and glory.
4. Let all who name Christ's holy name give God all praise and glory;
let all who own his power proclaim aloud the wondrous story!
Cast each false idol from its throne, for Christ is Lord, and Christ alone:
To God all praise and glory.
CALL TO PRAYER
The Spirit of the Lord fills the world and knows our every word and deed.
Let us then open ourselves up to God and one another, as we pray together.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER
God of all grace, we rejoice that you loved us so much that you gave your Son, to suffer in
our place for what we rightly deserve. Today we are anxious to celebrate your mighty
deeds that drew us to you and we are thankful for the forgiveness that you have offered to
us. Because of your love for us, we, too, are challenged to forgive all those who have hurt
us and those whom we love. Give us the courage to have love in our hearts for every one
of them. May we offer our forgiveness to them, even as you grant us yours, for the sake of
our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
PASTORAL PRAYER
2. All thy works with joy surround thee, earth and heaven reflect thy rays,
stars and angels sing around thee, center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea,
chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in thee.
4. Mortals, join the mighty chorus which the morning stars began;
love divine is reigning o'er us, binding all within its span.
Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife;
joyful music leads us sunward, in the triumph song of life.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT
This week we are lifting up our Wesley Ministry with a note from our new Wesley Pastor:
"Hey everyone! If we haven't met, I'm Daniel and I'm your college pastor. I direct the Wesley Campus Ministry
down the road at the UofA. In spite of a lot of virus craziness, we've managed to have a ton of fun this semester
and are excited to see the Wesley growing - not just in terms of numbers, but in relationships and mainly, in the
Lord. On Tuesday nights we meet up for dinner and worship. Wednesdays we have a lunch and bible study for
grad students. And on Thursdays our student leaders host small groups. When those things aren't happening in
person and on livestream, you can find our associate director Caleb, our administrator Rachel, and I drinking
too much coffee with students, playing a lot of pingpong, and doing everything we can to make sure students at
the UofA have a Christ-centered, home away from home, at the Wesley. And here's the thing, none of it could
happen without Central's faithful presence, prayers, and support. So thank you and thank you Lord!"
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
We are so glad that you have chosen to be with us this morning. We are mindful during this pandemic just how
special worshipping together is. In our effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we are asking that everyone
adhere to the following directives while in the sanctuary.
1. Masks must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times.
2. Everyone is encouraged to partipate fully in the worship service, including the singing of the hymns
and responses, and the spoken liturgy. Masks must be on.
3. Please refrain from physical contact with others, outside of your family groups.
No handshaking, embracing, or touching.
4. Please remain seated and enjoy the closing voluntary. An usher will indicate when your row may
depart afterwards. You will leave via the window aisles, and exit through the north vestibule doors.
5. We ask that you take everything with you when you leave.
