Answer: It is a computer memory that can be read and written. Having this kind of memory design
makes devices more convenient to for the users.
Answer: Physical Memory is the term used to describe the total amount of memory storage installed in
our computer. Each time we open a program, it is loaded to our computer’s memory, and therefore
reduces the available memory.
Answer: The hardware the part of physical components that we can touch like keyboard, mouse etc.,
and the software is the set of instructions that tells the hardware what to do. Basically, computer
software controls computer hard and vice versa. These two components are inherently dependent to
each other. In order for our computer to manipulate the datas we input and to produce output, the
hardware and software must work together. For example: PISONET. The physical structure of the
technology of the PISONET is the hardware and in order for the PISONET to work when we put a coin is
the software system. It is coded in the software the sets of instructions of the PISONET. That’s why we
can only use PISONET if we put coin into it’s coinslot box and it immediately starts the timer.
4. How are input / output and secondary storage devices similar? How are they different?
Answer: Input/Output devices and Secondary storage devices has only one similarity they are all part of
the basic building blocks of a computer. Their only difference are their purposes. Input devices are used
to interacts with or send data from the user to the CPU for processing. The data can be collected and
enter into a computer with the use of the physical components of a computer like keyboard, mouse or
microphones etc., while the output devices is used to display the information that has been processed by
the computer to its user like a monitor, speaker or printer. And a secondary storage devices such as
thumb drives, CDs, and micro SD cards are the types of storage that enables the user to move datas
between computers without having to open their computer.
Answer: The CPU or the central processing unit is also known as the brain of the computer. The CPU
perform each and every single arithmetic operations and logical operations.
