    ACTION PLAN TO MINIMIZE THE INCIDENCE OF LARDOs

    Rationale:

    This action plan is designed to learners who are at risk of dropping out. The purpose of this action is to help LARDOs

    improve their academic performance through participation in extracurricular activities in school. The data gathered by the

    researcher revealed that, there was significant relationship between academic performance and extent of participation in extra-

    curricular activities among LARDOs. Active participation to extracurricular activities resulted to better academic performance,

    development of skills, improvement of self-image and self-motivation. The researcher formulated objectives and proposed strategies

    and activities on how to facilitate and learners at risk of dropping out. This will also help the administrators, teachers, parents and

    stakeholders in the full implementation of this plan.

    This proposed action plan will improve learners’ academic performance through positive attitude towards participation in

    extracurricular activities. Eventually, it will minimize the incidence of drop out learners.
