ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION
66
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• For removed screws, and nuts use nutlock lotion (min. middle strenght) on the threads! Follow the user’s manual for nutlock lotion!
• Use the right torque ( see torque chart from the companies recommendation – screw/nut size, material, etc.) and tool for fixing
screws and nuts!
• If the set needs to be disassembled it is important to use nutlock product for nuts and screws on the thread.
• For installation use protective gear (eyewear, gloves, etc)!
• The threads used on the system are METRICAL!
• Do NOT use the connected U-pipe for towing! Do NOT lift the Personal Water Craft („PWC”) by the U-pipe! Remove the U-pipe
when transporting or lifting the PWC out of water!
• Always test which mode is ON for using the PWC! In HYDROFLY mode the iBR ( brake, reverse, neutral, trim, etc.) is OFF!
• Follow the PWC owner’s manual! Follow the connected HYDROFLY device’s manual!
• Using HYDROFLY mode some of the functions can NOT be used! (eg.: no ladder, no longer PWC ability (brake, reverse, etc.)!
• Follow navigation rules, and state-, and local laws that apply to HYDROFLY devices!
• ONLY for racing purpose!
• Avoid steering in HYDROFLY mode with connected U-pipe, because it can damage the U-pipe, the steering system and the nozzle-pump!
• Mode changing is available only with stopped engine (remove and insert U-pipe or inserts, etc.) Avoid unauthorised starting!
• For original parts (eg. steering cable, electrical cable) use the original way / position!
• Ask for PWC warranty using this system!
• Using this system some riding parameters can be changed (full speed, acceleration, steering, TRIM, NEUTRAL, BRAKE, REVERSE, etc.)!
• Changing to PWC mode and starting the engine with connected U-pipe can damage the U-pipe and PWC’s parts (eg. trimming ring, iBR system,
etc)!
• We highly recommend to use double impeller for HYDROFLY purpose! The PWC’s original impeller can NOT handle the increased load caused by
HYDROFLYING!
• Incorrect use can cause SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH!
67
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Using the system with missing parts is NOT allowed! For proper working it is neccesary to use all the parts included in the set!
• Use original parts ONLY! Do NOT modify the parts!
• Using this system for HYDROFLYING in river is NOT allowed!
• In case of malfunction release the throttle lever slowly, and STOP using the PWC or HYDROFLY device!
• In HYDROFLY mode fast throttle release can slow down the flow of the water in the system and the hydroflyer will fall down suddenly / or loose
the level of height, or will loose the movement power!
• In HYDROFLY fast full throttle can give extreme force to the hydrofly device. The hydroflyer can loose the planned movement direction and can
get SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH! It can also overload the hydroflyer’s body!
• Sharp edges on the parts may develop caused by the connection method. Beware to touch these edges! Use hand gloves for mode changing an
carrying parts!
• Use of the system – PWC, HYDROFLY –in water containing physical contamination can lead to system failure, and can cause SEVER INJURIES or
DEATH in some cases!
• Before use - PWC, HYDROFLY - always verify that the parts are correctly installed and work right!
• The set comes with 1 year limited warranty!
• The hose can slide off in case the hose connection to the hose bearing is incorrect! Hose sliding off can cause SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH! Before
every ride inspect that the hose and it’s connection to the hose bearing is OK! Use the right size of the hose (inner diameter ~ ø110mm)!
• Before and after of every ride verify that the PWC hull is not filled with water – check that the water outlet unit is working properly!
• Use the right protective guard while using the system in PWC or HYDROFLY mode! ((helmet, wetsuit, eye protective gear (swim glasses),
personal flotation device (PFD))– see the local laws and that the protective guard is recommended for this sport!
• The system is made for people with good swimming skills only (PWC and/or HYDROFLY mode). Calculate with the HYDROFLY equipment (hydrofly
device, hose, etc.) weight which is pulling the hydrofly user down in the water – USE THE CORRECT personal flotation device (PFD)!
• Using the system in case of malfunction is NOT allowed (PWC or HYDROFLY mode)!
• Don’t operate (give throttle) the hydrofly device without hydroflyer!
68
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Using powerfull acceleration on the Hydrofly unit can lift the PWC out of the water, and the PWC can turn over! When lifting the PWC out
of the water this way, the continuous water flow will stop, and the hydroflyer will loose the acceleration instantly, the movement, the speed,
and the direction of the hydrofly device will change dramatically. The operator on the watercraft („throttleman”) can fall into
the water and can crash to hose or PWC! Avoid this situation!
• While hydroflying the hose and PWC can move on uncalculatable ways. Always keep the right distance from anything! Avoid that the hose or
hydrofly device or the hydroflyer crash to the operator on the watercraft („throttleman”)! Aviod ties become on the hose!
• The operator on the watercraft (“throttleman”) has control of the engine throttle and operates the hydroflyer. It is strongly
recommended to fully understand the communication between the throttleman and hydroflyer.
• While hydroflying there is NOT allowed any other person on the PWC except the throttleman. The throttleman should hold on to the handlebar
correctly to avoid from fall down, crash to the PWC or hose, and to handle the throttle correctly, because the hydrofly device will pull the PWC
on uncalculatable ways with different force.
• It is strongly recommended that the operator on the watercraft (“throttleman”) use the right protective guard ((helmet, wetsuit, eye protective
gear (swim glasses), personal flotation device (PFD))– see the local laws and that the protective guard is recommended for this sport!
• Never operate PWC, hydrofly under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other psychotropic modifiers!
• While hydroflying the noise level can rise, oral communication between throttleman and hydroflyer is limited, one from the other
can NOT hear the instructions!
• While hydroflying the water is splashing and can reduce or block the visibility and signal communication between the throttleman and the
hydroflyer!
• If the throttleman can NOT receive rational instruction from the hydroflyer it is strongly recommended to stop hydroflying, the throttleman
should slowely release the throttle and stop the engine.
• While the U-pipe is connected, the PWC looses it’s original functions, so calculate how to get to the shore after hydroflying or in an
emergency. Storing paddles in the storage of the PWC is recommended.
• If the PWC in hydrofly mode is controlled by remote controller always verify all the functions handled by the remote controller, especially the
throttle release and engine stop functions!
69
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Use the system in deep water ONLY (at least 10 meters), always make sure that there is nothing in the water or on the surface or in the air (dron,
electrical wire, etc.) which can cause SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH! Avoid to get the hose to stuck into anything in the water
or on the surface! Getting the hose to stuck can lead to accidents causing SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH! The users also must secure the area of
operation, must pay attention to the weather conditions, density of water traffic, swimmers, divers, PWC or other hydrofly users or other
spectators, and all other contributing factors are suitable for operating the device safely.
• While hydroflying leave MINIMUM of 5 meters distance from anything (eg. PWC, etc..)! Falling from a height, or crashing on the hose or PWC can
cause SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH! NEVER EXCEED YOUR LIMITS!
• It is NOT allowed to splash humans or animals with water from the HYDROFLY equipment! Avoid to splash electrical wires! Keep safety distance!
• While hydroflying the local exhaust fumes concentration rises! Engine exhaust, some of its constituents, and certain product components contain
or emit chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm! Stay away from inhaling the
exhaust fumes!
• Storing any fire causing material/unit (for eg. device with Lithium based battery, petrol, etc.) and keeping/carrying these in/on PWC or hydrofly
units/parts is NOT allowed! Keep your cell phone ONLY in watertight and damage safety storage! In watertight storage avoid your cell phone from
crash to the watertight storage sides or/and from crash of the other things stored in the watertight storage!
• Diving or underwater movement with hydrofly unit is NOT allowed, because there will be NO oral or signal communication between throttleman
and hydroflyer, and this can cause SEVERE INJURIES or DEATH!
• For hydroflying you must use the U-pipe, ZR transformer if needed, hose bearing, hose, hose strap, 2nd hose bearing, hydrofly device. All of this
parts must be connected correctly! (for other hydrofly using possibilities ask your seller and/or see the hydrofly device owner’s manual)
• For PWC use you must use the venturi insert and the nozzle-pump insert! All of this parts must be connected correctly!
• The system use only one side (left) water outlet! During use (PWC, HYDROFLY) if you fill (splash water to your PWC) your PWC hull with water
much more faster than in normal use (easy use in PWC mode), bilge pump use is highly recommended!
• WE CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY FAILURES OR ACCIDENTS RESULTING FROM INCORRECT USE AND ASSEMBLY!
