Selectively Social Politics: The Differing Roles of Media Use on Political Discussion:
The general purpose of this research article was to examine how using particular media
sources foster debate between similar and varying political beliefs. The study explores the debate
of same party-political beliefs (in-group), and those of different political party beliefs (out-
group). This study highlights how specific character background (uses and gratifications
perspective) (e.g., age, sex, political opinion leadership, political social identity, political content
affinity), motives for using traditional and social media for political information. The study also
highlights how the use of different media sources work together to influence discussion with
political in-group and out-group members. The study’s results allowed the authors to highlight
various distinct differences between people who talk to political in-group and out-group
members. This particular study is very relevant in today’s 45th president election world. We have
seen the use of the word “fake news”, major retractions in the media, and even censorship of
certain viewpoints on social media in regards to politics. This study can be used as a stepping
stone to further study political debate, and hopefully foster further political discussion amongst
Let's Do It Again: A Call for Replications in Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research:
The writer John Edlund clarifies the crisis with studies and articles not furnished proof-
based research with vast information to demonstrate their announcements, replication and
fabrication of research, and what journals and editors are doing to battle this emergency. The
issue with replication and creation is a two-fold, determined by the writer's very own

imperfections and aspiration, just as a system failure pushes the academics to deliver vast
quantities of distributions to accomplish advancement or residency. The creator points out that
even though academics are forced to distribute early and regularly, most academics do not
fabricate research. However, it utilizes single-study short reports, using specific examinations
and controls, and self-references can prompt incorrect data. The research journals have
performed a couple of steps to guarantee that the articles they distribute do have the much-
needed information like requiring the academics to preregistered, considering where the
examination has been freely evaluated, utilizing joint efforts, and long-haul research
contemplates. The writer noticed that it is significant for the journals to use a mix of all the
above strategies to guarantee that they are distributing proof-based research in their distributions.
The future of psychology practice requires that psychologists expand the scope of their
traditional practice; adapt, and become health care providers, not just mental health providers.
Using evidence-based practices, assessment, and outcome measures; incorporate the advancing
technology into psychological practices, including electronic health records; and change training
and focus to meet the needs of society. The future of psychological science requires that
psychologists train and work in multidisciplinary teams, employ different methods and
approaches, and shift focus to translational science. The future of the profession requires
substantial changes in education to prepare students for science and practice in the 21st century.
scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. The effects of psychological studies are
more relevant and respected than any period in the past, and top researchers are always
uncovering discoveries and applications for psychology. With psychology, we can help people
tremendously because it addresses why an individual may act the way they do. With professional

insight, psychologists may help individuals improve their future behaviors, decision making, and
stress management skills. This information gives people a chance for self-confidence, healthier
The study of psychology is exceedingly complicated because not one-two people are the
same. However, like in any study or pattern, there are instances in which somethings vary in
continuity. For example, a survey said that any two people would both choose the same activity
if given the option days in advance. Human beings are the most difficult "animal" to analyze, and
so to answer your question, the limitations of psychology include consciousness and free
thought; no two people will think the same unless some psychological trick is present.
that openly deny access to the public (unless you are willing to pay for a hefty subscription fee).
Some might say this is not any different than traditional book publishing, so what's the problem?
But the public being denied access to science is the very same public that already funds most
psychology research, including the subscription fees for universities. So why, you might ask, is
taxpayer-funded research invisible to the taxpayers that funded it? The answer is complicated
enough to fill a 140-page government report, but the short version is that the government places
the business interests of corporate publishers ahead of the public interest in accessing science.
Bigger data
Psychology research is statistically undermined. What this means is that even when genuine
phenomena exist, most experiments don’t have large enough samples to detect them.
