BUS FEES
SCHOOL LUNCHES
1. The yearly tuition, bus and lunch fees are charged in 10 monthly instalments from September to June.
2. Tuition, bus and lunch fees are collected by direct debit during the first ten days of each month.
3. A 5% surcharge will be charged for tuition, bus and lunch fees which are not paid by direct debit.
4. Those parents who choose not to pay by direct debit may only pay their tuition, bus and lunch fees in
advance:
a. Termly: 1st Term 40%, 2nd Term 30% and 3rd Term 30%, with 5% surcharge
b. Yearly: payable 10 days prior start of academic year, 5% surcharge is not applicable in this case.
5. The School reserves the right to adjust bus fees or seek alternative transport arrangements at the
beginning or during the school year, depending on number of students using tis service.
6. The monthly rate for school lunches is a set monthly fee, regardless of the number of school days in each
month. The pupil’s parents may claim unused lunches only after at least 5 consecutive school days of
pupil’s absence.
7. Occasional school lunches must be paid in advance at the office.
ADMISSION FEES
25% of the entrance fee should be paid when the Admission Form is presented and will be deducted from
the Entrance Fee payable in full on acceptance of a place. The entrance fee will not be refunded if the
application is voluntarily withdrawn.
EXAMINATION FEES
Parents are responsible for the payment of all international examination fees. However, payments for examination
fees will not be accepted if tuition fees are outstanding.
TRIPS
All residential trips are payable by parents. Payment for trips, however, will not be accepted if there are tuition
fees outstanding.
DISCOUNTS
A discount of 30%, 60% and 90% of the tuition fee will be applied to the third, fourth and fifth sibling enrolled at
the British School of Gran Canaria.
The School will offer a 50% scholarship for the Sixth Form for two pupils based on their IGCSE/GCSE results. Full
details are available at [email protected]. Students with outstanding fees at the end of Year 11 will not be
eligible for the award. The School reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship should any fees fall into arrears
for either the pupil in receipt of the scholarship or their siblings.
UNPAID FEES
1. The School will charge a 5% monthly surcharge to all unpaid fees, including tuition, bus and lunch.
2. All costs incurred in the collection of unpaid fees shall be paid in full by the parents.
3. In the event of non-payment of fees, the School reserves the right to withdraw bus and lunch services and to
exclude the pupil from the School and/or Residential trips.
4. No pupil may start a new school term until outstanding fees from the previous term have been paid in full,
including interest.
5. Should the bank return a Direct Debit payment in two occasions or more in the same academic year, a 5%
surcharge will be applied to all invoices of that school year.
Withdrawal of the pupil – written notice is required a full term in advance when withdrawing a student from the
British School of Gran Canaria, otherwise, fees for a full term will be charged.
Discontinuing School Lunches/Changes in Bus Service – written notice is required one month in advance when
discontinuing School Lunch or changing Bus Service arrangements.
