Ishita Katyal, all of 11 years is an Author & Motivational speaker. She believes
there is so much out there in the environment for young people like herself to get
inspired, imagine new things and start doing something creative at an early age.
Ishita says that there should be nothing stopping a child from experimenting to do
what they want to do in life and they should not wait to be an adult to follow
their passion.
Ishita has spoken at the prestigious global TED Conference in Vancouver, TEDYouth
in New York, TEDxGateway, NASSCOM, Mind Mingle @IIM Ahmedabad, Toastmasters & REX
conclive events etc. Ishita emphasises the message that all parents have a
responsibility to help their children in discovering their creative interests and
motivating them to spend time without fear in whatever they want to make.
Ishita is the youngest TEDxYouth organiser in the Asia-Pacific region. Ishita was
also facilitated with 2015 Sakhi Samman award from Lokmat and REX Karmaveer Chakra
Award and REX Global Fellowship 2014-15. She likes to write, dance and sing and
loves to play basketball, is an avid reader and digs into Sudha Murthy and Ruskin
Bond in her free time. She is author of �Simran�s Diary� which she wrote only at an
age of 8.
Ishita is one of the youngest Author�s in India and was also featured in the Child
Magazine as one amongst the 8 Child Prodigies in India. She is also the youngest
indian ever to speak at the prestigious global TED Conference.

Tenth class student Soumya Tejam�s keen interest in technology and business, led
her to establish �Bookbite�, a subscription box service that sends out a curated
package containing a Young Adult novel, short stories by budding novelists, bookish
goodies and an exciting online experience. Created to spread the joy of reading, it
has grown to become a thriving community of passionate readers and writers. The
philosophy behind it was simple - don't make reading a habit, make it a lifestyle.
With recent tie-up with NGO Parikrma Foundation, BookBite is now trying to ensure
that for every privileged reader, it also supports an underprivileged reader.
Soumya was the Global Finalist at the Technovation Challenge � a tech. and
entrepreneurship competition. The app �cAppAble�, acts as a bridge connecting
physically challenged job aspirants with Corporate and NGO�s. Her team was selected
to represent India at the Global Pitch Event at San Francisco, USA. The team also
won first place in India region.
Soumya was also invited as a speaker , for the India Onward- Scaling Digital India,
a signature event organised by IBM.
Soumya was awarded the Rotary Young Entrepreneur Award.
