    This chapter presents the results of a study on parental involvement and its importance to academic performance among grade 9 students. The respondents were equally male and female. Most students agreed that parental involvement is important for academic success. Specifically, 100% of students said parental guidance on school works and parental attendance of school activities are important. However, only 60% of students said parental checking of homework is important. The chapter concludes with an action plan to increase parental involvement through a parenting program after class or on weekends to improve attendance and student motivation.

    The table 2 displays the frequency and the percentage distribution of the Parental Involvement: Its
    importance to the academic performance. The data shows in question number one, all students
    answered yes. In question number two, all of the students answered yes. In question number three,
    eighteen of the students answered yes. In question number four, all of the students answered “YES”. In
    question number five, one of the students answered no. In question number six, all of the students
    answered yes. In question number seven, all of the students answered “YES”. In question number eight,
    four of the students answered no. In question number nine, eight of the students answered “NO”. In
    question number ten, 6 of the students answered “NO”.

    Rationale

    This school is design based on the results of the sturdy. This is to be Santo Niño High School of
    Bacolod INC. School year 2019-2020.

    Implementation

    This school plan will be implemented throughout the school year 2020-2021. This action plan
    were made in order to know the Parental involvement: Its Importance to the academic performance of
    Grade 9 Our Lady of Miraculous Medal students in Santo Niño High School of Bacolod Inc.

    Evaluation

    Monitoring and evaluation of the parents may help their children on handling their Academic
    Performances
