    SUMMARY
    In Language Registers and Varieties Handouts this is the time that we need to apply our learnings is
    Cultures Guidelines. Language Registers talks about how it is important to recognize the differences between
    registers. Language Registers is a formality of language which one speak depends on social class, social
    network, age, sex and ethnicity. It includes the variables like Lingua Franca which is the standard or semi-
    official language and Pidgin that is a grammatically simplified means of communication that develops by
    two or more groups and when they adopt the pidgin language it is called Creole the last variable.
    We will encounter the style, register, and genre in language registers. It has a five language of
    registers which is the very formal this register is rarely that use in court hearing, formal that we use in our
    academic purposes, neutral that we use when we are talking in strangers, informal that we use when we are
    talking to our family and the very informal that we use to our friends. It includes the semiotics that is
    concerned with everything that can be taken as a sign. So Ferdinand de Saussure explains that every sign has
    2 main concept which is the signifier that is the physical existence and signified that is the mental concept.
    When talking about the color or shape when need to active our cultural sensitivity because it don’t have a
    universal interpretation as well. The Three Concentric Circles of English is Expanding Circles,Outer Circle
    and Inner Circles it is based on the development and spread of English Language in the world. Edulects is
    also included the acrolect that is suitable for formal events and basilect that is suitable for very informal
    event and last the mesolect that is in between of the two. And the Filipinisms and Slang is the
    neosemantisms means that is a new additional meanings to the word and the neoterisms which is a new
    forms for meanings indicated by other phrases.
    It is important to use proper varieties and registers of language in communication because there are
    different situations and people that use different registers. And if your register is too high ,you may come
    across being snobby while if your register is too low you can come across being too friendly.
