DESCRIPTION
Founded in March 2020, LK-FlighTech is a tech start-up company that produce tailor made
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies that help in improving the health service delivery
in Zimbabwe. LK-FlighTech is looking for talented professionals who are passionate about
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)/drones and aircraft technology. You will be designing a
wide variety of innovations. To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter,
capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ROLES:
As LK-FlighTech Avionics/Electronic Engineer you will have the unique opportunity to design,
develop, and deploy high quality systems for our avionics systems. Through developing these
systems, you will provide a deep understanding of flight computers, power distribution boards,
battery management systems, motor controllers, PID controls and radios. You will also be
responsible for designing other embedded and electronic systems that may arise from other
projects, forming strategic relationships with leading technology providers, and creating high-
performance embedded computing systems to meet the needs of the future. You will drive
design trades, lead the electronic design, and execute on full lifecycle development from
concept to testing and into production.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum Bachelor’s degree in (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer


Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field)
• Software proficiency in (Autodesk EAGLE, SolidWorks PCB, MATLAB and/or
Proteus)
• Professional experience in building software in RTOS/ SoC and Embedded Linux
• Experience programming in basic Python, or C/Embedded C and C#, and
familiarity with the software development process.
• Experience using and deep understanding of common test instrumentation and
sensors.
• In-depth knowledge in wireless communication networks
• Power electronics (circuit designing and electrical calculations)
• Machine learning hardware accelerators
• Experience taking products from prototyping through to at-scale deployment.
