About Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya,
Jabalpur
Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya established on October 2, 1964, is a

forerunner university located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The university is
awarded Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel Outstanding University Award for the year
2018 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. The university
has various constituent colleges, Agricultural Research Stations, and Krishi
Vigyan Kendra’s. The University offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral
degrees in the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Agricultural
Engineering. The University also offers diploma courses of two years in "Seed
Production” and "Nursery Management" at Horticulture Vocational Education
Institute, Garhakota, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
About Agribusiness Leadership Programs

Jawahar-R-Agribusiness Incubator
JAWAHAR-R-ABI as business incubators center for Agri-Startups has been
conceptualized and established under Institute of Agri-business Management,
Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India
with aims to promote innovation-led entrepreneurship and business creation in
agriculture and allied sector by skill development; capacity building and
technology scale-up. This incubation center is funded under the RKVY
RAFTAAR scheme of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, GOI, New
Delhi and PUSA KRISHI, IARI, New Delhi is supporting as knowledge partner.

It is playing a vital role in the development of agripreneurship & commercializing
transferable technology through the incubator, protection through IPR, licensing,
commercialization, market linkages, quality assurance system, and human
resource development. It is a unique ecosystem of mentors brought together to
advise, share, and collaborate, with regular events, internal networks, and support
systems. It has the core specialization in agripreneurship development via
aforesaid capacity building programs and transfer of technology.

About the Virtual Agribusiness Leadership Program
Scientific Mushroom Production and Management
India is producing about 1.81 lakh tonnes of mushroom per annum in comparison to 330
lakh tonnes in China. With more than 1.37 billion population, the availability is very meagre
as the production is very low. India is having more than 700 million tonnes of agri-residue
which is not utilized commercially on large scale. If about 1-2% of the agri-residue is
utilized India can produce about 15-20 lakh tonnes of protein rich mushroom which will
help to combat the malnutrition along with livelihood opportunities in the rural areas
Further, the land and water requirement for the cultivation of mushroom is low compared
to other field and horticultural crops. Overall mushroom cultivation demands very good
entrepreneurship and leadership with low cost.
