INTRODUCTION
 The radar system is operated, monitored and
controlled by the System Control Computer (SCC) - a
laptop or a workstation connected to the Radar
System via an Ethernet communication channel.
 The SCC, including two shortcuts on the desktop
screen:
 The Radar Configuration (RDCFG)
 The Command and Control (C2)

 These fields are located just above the Bottom Bar. The length
scale is presented at the right end The coordinate, altitude and
azimuth of the cursor (“mouse” arrow) on the map display are
presented at the left end.

• The LOG window provides numeric display of radar tracks’ parameters
and is divided into three main areas:
1. Upper Bar
2. Main Window
3. Favorite Window

LOG Window - Main display
The main display includes the following track data

ID – The unique track number.


• Target Type – The target type, as classified by the radar. When the target is
detected, an audio alarm sound is heard.
• Altitude (Above Mean Sea Level) – Target altitude (in meters or feet).
• Initial Time – The first time when the track was sent to the SCC by the radar
• Range – Target range from the radar system (in meters or feet).
• Azimuth – Target direction relative to the true north, in degrees.
• Doppler Velocity - Radial Target velocity, in meters/sec.
• Absolute Velocity – Target total velocity, in meters/sec.

LOG Window - Main display
The main display includes the following track data

• RCS – Radar Cross Section of the tracked target, in square meters.


• Age – Track age, in seconds.
• Date & Time – Date and time of track.
• Elevation – Target elevation relative to the radar, in degrees.
• Targets –The number of plots which are associated to the specific track.
• Position – Coordinates of the tracked target in GEO or UTM formats.

• Columns can be added/removed using the column chooser
• Right-click on one of the columns to activate the column chooser
• To add a column - drag it to the log window
• To remove a column – drag it from the log window to the column chooser window

Track display
• When check-marking a track using the box on the left side , the whole
track will be displayed on the map.
• Selection of desired multiple tracks is done by common Windows
mouse and keyboard operation.

Right-clicking on a track opens a secondary window with the
following options:
• Export - Exports track data in CSV (Excel) or rc2d (C2 special)
formats (will be discussed later)
• Delete / Delete All - Removes a track (or all tracks) from the
display

Right-clicking on a track opens a secondary window with the following options:
• a) High Priority, when activated, causes the selected track to be designated as High
Priority to the radar; the radar allocates more resources for the tracking of this
target. Track is displayed even if it becomes invalid.
• b) STT - Enables to set the selected track as Single Target Tracking. c) Properties -
Allows the operator to display the map’s target details: ID, Range, Altitude, Velocity,
Azimuth, Elevation, RCS. d) “Elevation Profile” - Allows the operator to display the
target elevation profile along the track of the selected target.

• c) Properties - Allows the operator to display the map’s target details: ID, Range,
Altitude, Velocity, Azimuth, Elevation, RCS.

along the track of the selected target.

LOG Window - Favorites display
• The Favorites display is useful when the main window is full of tracks and it
becomes difficult to view the “interesting” target
• Right clicking on the target opens a secondary window with the following
options:
 Export / Delete/ High Priority / Properties
• Identical to the options in the main display
 Remove from Favorites
• Removes the track from the favorites display

• “Load” button - Allows loading tracks which were previously recorded by the C2
application and stored on the SCC disk. Click the “Load” button to open a Track
Archive window

• B. “Import” button - Allows loading stored track files in .rc2d format. Click the
“Import” button to open a RadarC2 file window
• "Delete" button - Deletes the selected tracks from the "LOG" window.
• "Delete All" button - Deletes all not-active tracks from the main display of the
"LOG" window.

• "Playback" keys - allow playback of "dead tracks". After selecting the desired
tracks, these keys allow playback of these tracks on the main map of the SCC.
The playback keys allow the following functions: Play , Pause , Stop
• Selection of the playback speed (“1” is the original speed; faster options are
. available).

• "Favorite" button - Click the “Favorite” button to move selected tracks from the
main display to the “Favorite” display area of the "LOG" window.
• "Freeze" button - Click this button to automatically place the last "alive track" on
top of the tracks list in the main display of the "LOG" window.

• Combine ScanAreas – When the radar system
incorporates a number of MHRs, selecting this feature
merges their scan areas to a continuous area.
• Show Arc – Sets the distance between the ranges
arches.
• Show Sector – Selects the size of the sectors (in
degrees) inside the scan area.
• Show Sector Label – Selects angle number in degrees
on each sector border line.
• Single border – Defines the type of line "solid line" or
"dash dot line"
• Symbol Size – Selects the relative size of the Radar
symbol.

allowing the user to:
• Select various types of map layers which were
pre-loaded to the SCC disk; for example:
 Map world 1000m WGS84
• Upload new layers and maps:
 GeoTiff, JPEG2000, JPEG with geo reference
(.JGW) and PNG with geo reference (.PGW) as
"Raster map”
 GeoTiff and Dted (.dem) as “Elevation”.
 ESRI shape (.shp) files as "Shape".
• Delete layers
 It is possible to delete only "Elevation" and "Raster"
layers.

 Display / hide each or all layers, by marking or
unmarking the desired map.

• This button allows defining a "Ignore Zone". When a new target appears
inside the defined "Ignore Zone", the system ignores the target. When
the target exits the "Ignore Zone", the system display it again. Any

• The filter button allows applying various filters on the
displayed track.

• Range – Defines the minimum and maximum target range


from the radar, in current (meters/feet) length units.
• Altitude – Defines the minimum and maximum altitude
(format: mean sea level), in current (meters/feet) length
units.
• Velocity - Defines the minimum and maximum target
absolute velocity, in meters per second.
• Azimuth - Defines the minimum and maximum Azimuth
(direction to the target true north) in degrees.

Function Bar - Capture button


• The Capture On/Off button is used for the recording of the C2
screen in ".wmv" format.
• The recordings are saved in the movie folder (as defined in the
settings window - mission tab)
• After clicking the Capture button, the C2 starts recording the file.
The recording button gets a blue background and black disk is
displayed next to the movie button.

• Another click on the capture button stops the movie recording.
