- By looking for the word descriptor and then try to integrate the
words it is related to curriculum planning.
APPLICATION
A. Direction: Using the matrix below, write at least three critical questions
to ask in the doing the following curriculum planning activities:

Picture Analysis
Guide Question:
- The students has the right to choose what are the passion they
want and the only thing should teachers do is to guide and provide
learning materials to the students. Talking about the student-
centered approach means that the classrooms focus individual
students’ learning. The teacher arranged the activities by simply
considering the factors like what are the interests of the students.
3. Which of those activities enable students to develop their skills and
abilities?
1. What does your answer to the activity above tell about your concept of
curriculum design?
Application
1. Choose at least two subjects you were enrolled last first semester SY
2019-2020.
2. As far as you can recall, list down all the learning activities done in the
chosen classes.
3. Indicate the types of design that each learning activity can address.

THINK
What do you think is the most important element in designing a lesson plan?
Explain why in the space below.
PAIR
Look for a partner and start a discussion on what is the most important part of
a lesson plan. Combine your ideas and summarize your discussion below.
The most important part of it is the task that the student is expected to
perform and the objective itself. It is probably one of the most important parts of
the lesson plan because our center here are the students and we are looking for
an outcome based.
Share
Share with the class the most important part of the paired
discussion. List below the three most important points you would like to share.
Answer briefly
3. What do you think is the use of a lesson plan in the teaching learning
process?
- It plays and contributed a lot in learning process of the student’s. It
serves as the central guide of the teachers to fully implement the
learning process. How can they totally give instructions if they don’t
have a lesson plan that able them to organize the teaching process?
This is why lesson plan is essential and it could be detailed or semi-
detailed only and this for sure will make every task in the room
organized, well prepared and easy type of process of transmission
of knowledge.

B. Presentation
-Any idea about our topic for today?
-Today we will discuss about taking
client’s body measurements. At the
end of the lesson you should be
able to identify the difference
between Horizontal, Vertical, and
Circumferential measurement,
Execute the proper taking of Body
Measurements and Recognize the
body garment parts to be measured
using a tape measure.
1. Activity
- asking the students about the video.
2. Analysis
- What are the importance of this
body measurements?
3. Abstraction
-There are several parts of the body to be
measured. These are taken in:
Horizontal measurement
Circumferential measurement
Vertical measurement
The horizontal measurement is
taken from the left of the figure to
the right.
Shoulder. Measurement is taken from the
tip of the left shoulder to the tip of the right
shoulder, arching slightly to cover the
cervical prominence of the neck bone.
Bust point width. Measurement is taken
across from the tip of the left bust point to
the tip of the right bust point.
The circumferential
measurement is taken around the body.
Bust. Measurement is taken around the
bust with the tape measure running on the
same level in front, at the back and on the
sides.
Waist. Measurement taken around the
smallest part of the torso.
First hip. Measurement is taken around
the hip level where the stomach is fullest.
Second hip. Measurement is taken
around the hip level where the buttocks are
fullest.
Armhole. Measurement is taken around
the armhole.
Arm girth. Measurement is taken around
the arm.
The vertical measurement is
taken from the top of the body figure to
its base.
Figure back. Measurement is taken from
the center of the back shoulder over the
shoulder blade down to the waistline level.
Figure front. Measurement taken from the
neck point passing over the bust down to
the waistline level.
Bust point height. Measurement is taken
from the neck point down to the highest
point of the bust.
Length of sleeve. Measurement is taken
from the shoulder point down to the
desired length in the arms.
Length of skirt. Measurement is taken
from the waist down to the desired length.

Read the given notes about the models of implementation. Fill in the PMI Chart.
Write what you think are the advantages of each model under Plus, and its
disadvantages under Minus. If you find something interesting in the model,
write it under interesting.
Models of Implementation
1. Overcoming Resistance to Change Model - This model rests on the
assumption that the success of curriculum implementation primarily
depends on the impact the developer can make on the consumers, i.e.,
teachers, students and the society in general. While addressing the
persons within the system, we should remember that to get the desired
result the subordinates should be motivated rather than ordered
2. Leadership-Obstacle Course (LOC) Model. This model treats staff
resistance to change as problematic and proposes that we should collect
data to determine the extent and nature of the resistance.
3. Linkage Model – This model recognizes that there are innovators in
research and development centers, universities, etc. Educators in the
field, however, find some of their attempts at innovations that are
inappropriate for solving the problems. What is therefore needed is a
match between the problems and innovations-the establishment of
linkages. This model foresees two systems: user system and resource
system. There has to be a link between these two systems.
4. The Rand Model is based on the assumption that the success of the
implementation of new program depends on: the characteristics of the
proposed change; competencies of the teaching and administrative staff;
the support of the local community; and the school organizational
structure
2. What conditions must exist for the Leadership Obstacle Course Model to
prosper?
- The learner must be the central figure in the curriculum implementation
process. There are various factors that influence curriculum
implementation like the learners. Therefore, the settings of the students
and their good conditions must exist for LOC model to prosper.
3. The Linkage Model foresees two systems: user system and resource
system. There has to be a link between these two systems. Describe the
link between the user system and the resource system.
- User system is link to process whereby potential users of library are made
to learn how to make efficient and effective use of the library and its
resources through the acquisition of knowledge and skills in identification,
location and exploitation of information.
All these models suggest that the educational change is a three-stage process.
Write a sentence to capture the idea for each stage.
1. Initiating the change
- A plan in training the teachers because we know that teachers are very
skilled in at teaching academics and know how it takes time for training.

Recall your experiences in your schools (senior high school or higher education
school). What changes did you experience in your curriculum?
1. Alteration
Ex. Instead of using graphic paper for mathematics teaching, this can be altered
by using graphing paper.
2. Restructuring
Ex. Team teaching and project method or competency-based teaching and
evaluation.
3. Perturbations
Ex. The routine of the student to go to school every day is interrupted due to the
spread of virus.
4. Value Orientation
Ex. The value of the actions that has been in acted in the institution. The change
basically brings a shift from one’s philosophy or basic ideology towards a
particular orientation.

below. Look for a partner and share your answers with him or her.
1. Student Evaluation
- It will determine on how the learners and students’ progress. And to have
a reinforcement if needed and are not allowed to proceed if there is
someone among the students who are in need to be assisted.
2. School Evaluation
- It will determine how conducive and appropriate a school is for the
students to learn, if it is meeting the standard procedure for everybody
and if there is a need of improvement in any areas that can be a great
help especially for the students, like improvement of classrooms and
others school facilities for everyone’s benefit.
3. Curriculum Evaluation
- It will determine if there is a need to change in meeting the learners
demand in learning and specially if it is achievable and both possible to
comply.
4. Personnel Evaluation
- It will determine if the people involved in this group or institution is doing
his/her duty and complying for what is asking for them to comply. And to
determine if someone is doing good or poorly for it will affect and change
everything especially in the learners.
Guide Questions:
1. Are your answers the same? Or not?
- In some areas and matters we have the same opinions but generally we
have different arguments of how we foresee the situations.
2. Based from your answer in item 1, write a short description of each type
of evaluation.
In the placement it means that it tests the capability of the
students to take action towards specific matters and what they
have already learned, in the formative it aims to provide ongoing
feedbacks to the students towards specific matters, in diagnostic
it aims to provide an immediate remedial actions towards certain
causes of learning problems and the last one is assessment are
usually used for assigning grades and to test what does the
students learnt from the previous discussions and topics,
