 Introduction
In this report, I have tried to list all the steps involved in creating a Daraz Seller
Account, Product hunting, Competitor analysis, Product listing, and Managing orders.
Daraz has first come to our country at 2015 as a B2C venture and it has never stopped.
It has started their journey as listed brands product on their site like LG, Samsung,
Toshiba, yellow, noir and so many others. Daraz is one of the most renown ventures
for rocket internet as Daraz recently acquired by Chinese e commerce giant Alibaba.
Alibaba thinks it is profitable as well as expands their venture over worldwide, it is a
great step. Alibaba thinks that with their expertise technologies they can take Daraz
into another milestone in online retail company worldwide. Daraz operate many other
countries beside the Bangladesh and Pakistan. It has been assumed that daraz market
has over 460 million customers worldwide. Daraz Co-CEO Jonathan Doerr believes
together Alibaba and Daraz can influence the entrepreneur to serve the region and
provide the best quality product as an online retailer.

Creating Daraz Seller Account

Prerequisites
Before creating Daraz Seller Account you need the following:

 Active Email Address

 Active Mobile Number
 Active Bank Account registered to your Name and CNIC
 Scanned Front Side of your CNIC
 Scanned Back Side of your CNIC
 1 Scanned Blank Cheque of your Checkbook

Creating Daraz Buyer Account

Go to https://www.daraz.pk/
Click Sign Up
Click Sign Up with Email
Write your Email Address
Write your Full Name

Slide to verify the Email with Code sent to it

Enter the Code you received on your Email
Write a Password
Enter your Birthday
Enter your Gender
-----Your Buyer Account will be created

Creating Daraz Seller Account

Go to https://sellercenter.daraz.pk/
Click on “Become a Seller”
Click on “Sign up as a Local Seller”
Write your “Mobile Number”
Slide to Verify
Write a Password
Write the same Password again to confirm
Write your Email Address
Write your Shop Name (Think of any name)
Click “Sign Up”

Managing Address Book

Sign-in using your Email Address and Password you just created in Daraz Seller
Center
Click on “Manage Address Book”
Write your House Address
Choose your State
Choose your Area within your State
Choose your Location or Nearest Location within your Area
Click on Checkbox Business Address “Same as Warehouse Address”
Click on Checkbox Return Address “Same as Warehouse Address”

Click on Submit

Verifying ID Information
Click on Verify ID Information
Choose CNIC from “ID Type”
Write your Name on CNIC
Write your CNIC Number
Upload “Scanned Front Side of your CNIC”
Upload “Scanned Back Side of your CNIC”
Click on Submit

Filling Bank Information

Click on “Fill in Bank Information”
Write your Account Title (your Name)
Write your Account Number (Complete IBAN)
Choose your Bank Name
Write your Bank Branch Code
Upload “1 Scanned Blank Cheque of your Checkbook”
Click on Submit

Click on “Order Package Info”

Now wait for 24-hours (1 day) then come back to this “Order Packaging Material
Page”
Click on Cancel and go back to Main Page of your Daraz Seller Account

Product Hunting
Now you have to choose the Product you want to sell

I asked my family members and friends who were married about the kind of products
they buy usually online. They told me they buy kids toys online.

I also did a survey on Daraz and found that Kids Toys sell the most and they are easy
to sell because Chinese toys are cheaper to buy than Branded toys.

I made a list of 5 types of kids toys to sell:

1. Animal Toys
2. Toy Cars
3. Dolls
4. Electronic Toys
5. Stuffed Toys

But after performing the market survey, online search, asking my family and friends, I
decided to go for Stuffed Toys and Electronic Toys.

Competitor Analysis
I went to kid’s toy market in Clock Tower and bought a Dog Stuffed Toy and Tortoise
Toy
I bought the Dog Stuffed Toy for Rs. 50 and Tortoise Toy for Rs. 150
Because other sellers were selling at a high price on Daraz like:
Dog Stuffed Toy for Rs. 200
Tortoise Toy for Rs. 550

So, I set a low price for both my products i.e.

Dog Stuffed Toy for Rs. 100
Tortoise Toy for Rs. 300

Registering your Brand Name

Go to your Daraz Seller Account
Click on “Products” and choose “Add Products”
Write your Product Name which you want to Sell
Category Suggestions will automatically show up
Choose the one that suits your Product Type
e.g.
My 1st product name is Tortoise Toy
I choose “Toys & Games / Electronic Toys / Electronic Pets & Robotics” form
Category
Click on “Brand”
Click on “Please Click here to request for a new Brand”
Write your “Brand Name”
e.g.
I wrote MMSeller as my Brand Name
Click on Submit
Click on OK
Wait for 2 or 3 days for your Brand Name verification

Ordering Packaging Material

After 1 day, go to your Daraz Seller Account
Click on “Order Package Info”
Choose your Type of Packaging Material from the given 3 types
Each type will direct you to a different type of Packaging.

Order one type of Packaging Material

I selected “Bundle of 20 Boxes”

Now buy this “Bundle of 20 Boxes” by Logging-in using Daraz Buyer Account we
created in the First Step
Write your Full Name
Write your Phone Number
Choose your Province
Choose your City from your Province
Choose your Area from your City
Write your Address
Click on Save
Click on “Proceed to Pay”
Click on “Cash on Delivery”
Click on “Confirm Order”
Copy the Order Number shown on your Screen
Paste this Order Number in the “Order Packaging Material Page” of your Daraz Seller
Account
Click on Submit

Selling on Daraz

Product Listing (1st Product)

After 2 days, go to your Daraz Seller Account
Click on Products / Add Products
Write your Product Name which you want to Sell
Category Suggestions will automatically show up
Choose the one that suits your Product Type

Choose the Brand Name you submitted application for 3 days ago
If your brand is verified then it will show up in the list then Select it (mine was
MMSeller) otherwise you have to wait some more days
Write “Highlights” about your Product
e.g.
I wrote

Tortoise toy for kids. It is a very good toy for kids. they will enjoy it. They will play happily

 Its color id Green

 2x AA Batteries are required
 It plays sound

Write “Long Description” about your Product

e.g.
I wrote

Click on Apply
Write “English Description” about your Product
e.g.
I wrote

Write “What’s in the box”

Click Upload and upload 3 Images of your Product

Write the Price for your Product

Product Listing (2nd Product)

As we have to sell 2 products for this Assignment, we will add another product.

So, upload another Product by repeating the Product Uploading steps

Seller Verification
Now after 1 or 2 days if you receive any Email regarding the Successful creation of
your Daraz Seller Account then everything is Perfect, otherwise the Email will mention
your mistakes in the Document verification. So, fix those mistakes and repeat the
Document uploading process. Wait for another 2 or 3 days for the verification of those
documents.

After your Seller Account is verified then your products will be displayed on
https://www.daraz.pk/ website

Search your product by writing your Product Name and it will show up

Managing Orders
After 1 day, I got an order for both my products.

Click on “Orders & Reviews”

Click on “Manage Orders”
Click on the Checkbox of your Order
Click on “Ready to Ship”
Click on “Save Invoice ID”
Click on “Ready to ship”
Click on Close
Click on Ready to Ship tab
Click on the Checkbox of your Order
Click Print

Choose “Print All Documents for Selected Items”

Print all 4 Pages

Seller Invoice

Paste the Picture of all 4 Invoices which are generated after you Receive an Order

Packing the Products

Put your Products in 1 Box that you received from Daraz (Bundle of 20 Boxes)
Put the last invoice you printed (which contains the buyer address) inside the box
Close and wrap the box with Tape
Use a transparent Tape to Paste the “Barcode Page” (you printed) outside the box

Drop Shipping to Daraz Hub

Go to your nearest Daraz Hub
e.g.
I went to Daraz Hub, Millet Chowk, Faisalabad

Handover the Box to the representative on the Daraz Hub desk

He will scan the Barcode
Go home

Go to your Daraz Seller Account

Click on Orders & Reviews / Manage Orders
Click on Shipped tab
You will see “In Transit” written under Status

Check your Email Inbox

You will receive an Email from Daraz PK
Download the attached “dropped_off-parcels…pdf” file
This is your Product Drop Off Confirmation
This file contains Tracking Number of your Product

Seller Drop Off Confirmation

Paste the Drop-Off Confirmation you receive on your Email after dropping the
Product on Daraz Hub

Successful Delivery
After 2 or 3 days, the product is successfully delivered to the Buyer

Go to your Daraz Seller Account

Click on Orders & Reviews / Manage Orders
Click on Delivered tab

Checking your Bank Account

After 2 weeks, go to your Daraz Seller Account

Click on “Finance”
Click on “Account statements”
You will see that Item Charges are Rs. 400
Other Credit (Shipping fee paid by Customer) is Rs. 119
Daraz fee (Payment Fee, Commission, and Automatic Shipping Fee) is Rs. 158.4
VAT is Rs. 20.59
The total amount that I will receive after 2 weeks in my Bank Account will be:
400 + 119 – 158.4 – 20.59 = Rs. 340.01

Daraz Sales Tax Invoice

Paste the image of Sales Tax Invoice you get on your Daraz Seller Account after the
payment is receive to Daraz

Calculating Profit
Cost of
Dog Stuffed Toy + Tortoise Toy = 50 + 150 = Rs. 200
Revenue = Rs. 340.01

Profit = Revenue – Cost = 340.01 – 200 = Rs. 140.01
