Explain for quantity inquiry

Scope of WORK:
The SUBCONTRACTOR should focus on the following works for a new produced water
treatment train construction and a new disposal pump construction,
 A- Pipeline prefabrication, pipeline erection, equipment installation, NDT,
commissioning, startup support, etc. for the new train and the new disposal pump;
 B1- GRV pipeline installation, and commissioning, etc. for the new train
 B2- GRV pipeline installation, and commissioning, etc. for Replacement of MP
Separator Produced Water Header
 C- Electrical installation, instrumentation installation & calibration, commissioning
support, etc. for the new train and the new disposal pump.
 D- Produced water tank erection on-site with separately prefabricated parts
purchased by HBP. Including floating skimmer and other accessories installation,
painting, insulation, etc.
The said construct activities will be an extensive construction for existing water treatment
facilities in brownfield, in Central Processing Facilities at the West Qurna (Phase 2) Contract
Area, a live CPF named Mishrif.
PHASE II is to construct a new produced water treatment train, it comprises of one new PW
Tank, two Produced Water Feed Pumps and a Nutshell Filter with provision for future
connection of CPI and IGF, and some pipelines which connect the said equipment as a train.
The new train finally tie-ins to the existing system as part of the new system. The main
equipment shows in the following Figures.

1. Drawings: The design documents in all disciplines are in the attached folder. The
folder named “A-PIPING AND EQUIPMENT FOR PHASE 2&3”.
2. Quantities: See attachment excel file for the detailed information.
3. Equipment: The nutshell filter, the feed pumps, and the disposal pump will be
purchased by HBP, and the installation activities shall be the responsibilities of
SUBCONTRACTOR.
4. Materials: The pipeline, pipe accessories, valves, flanges, bolts and nuts, steel
structure, insulation, painting, fire fightings, and safety signs will be purchased by
HBP, and shall be installed by SUBCONTRACTOR. The consumables during the
installation activities shall be the responsibilities of SUBCONTRACTOR.
5. Welding: Welding Procedure Statement (WPS) will be provided by HBP. All welding
activities, equipment, tools, consumables, quality control, documentation records,
and any other unmentioned but relevant equips shall be the responsibilities of
SUBCONTRACTOR. Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) shall be followed according to
the WPS and the ISOMETRIC DRAWINGS.
6. NDT: The proportion of NDT should be performed according to the isometric
drawings. The NDT proportion which will be affected by the feature of the fluids
running in the pipe, piping class, etc. So the specific proportion should according to
the isometric drawings. Table 1 shows the statistics information from 8015-0151-
EN21-22-484-PI-DI-00002_01 ISOMETRIC DRAWINGS WP-2 for example.

7. Stress Analysis: Shall be followed according to the ISOMETRIC DRAWINGS.


8. HIGHLIGHT: The CPVC pipe installation belongs to the B1 section.

B1- GRV pipeline installation, and commissioning, etc. for the new train
1. Drawings: The isometric drawings are in the attached folder. The folder named “B-
GRV FOR PHASE 2”.
2. Quantities: The aggregate of the GRV lamination joint will be approx 1710 dia.inch.
3. Materials: The GRV pipeline, pipe accessories, lamination kits, and chemicals for
joints will be provided by HBP. The other exclusive PPE and consumables like face
masks, gloves, goggles, barrels, brushes, etc. will be the responsibilities of
SUBCONTRACTOR. The piping MTO in attached named 8015-0151-EN21-22-484-PI-
BM-00003_02 which has a red line across the characters will be provided by HBP and
be installed by SUBCONTRACTOR on-site.
4. Earthworks: The earthworks already included in the civil and piling work package.
Another subcontractor will perform the excavation and backfilling job. The
SUBCONTRACTOR does not need to consider the earthworks.
5. Commissioning: SUBCONTRACTOR will perform commissioning activities after the
installation work. The test medium should follow the isometric drawings.
6. HIGHLIGHT: The CPVC pipe installation belongs to this section.

B2- GRV pipeline installation, and commissioning, etc. for Replacement of MP Separator
Produced Water Header
1. General aspects: Produced water coming from MP Separators and Desalters within 9
existing crude oil trains are collected in a common 14” GRV underground header and
is sent into the existing Produced Water Tank (484-00-TK-001). Produced water
header crosses 5 existing asphalt roads, wherein said header is routed through concrete
duct banks. 9 (nine) 6′′ side branches of PW header are connected to the respective
isolation valves, located below ground level in the dedicated concrete valve boxes.
2. Quantities:
a) Earthworks- The existing GRV pipeline should be excavated by human beings
manually according to the drawings attached named PIPE TRENCH PLAN FOR CPF. The
excavation quantities are 1300 m3 approx.
b) Demolishment: Existing produced water header shall be demolished, sand
bedding underneath the header shall be replaced with clean compacted sand, and used soil
to be disposed of.
c) Lamination Joints- SUBCONTRACTOR could calculate the number of lamination

joints of the GRV pipeline according to the isometric drawings. The size of the joints
contains 14” and 6”.
3. Materials: The materials which will be provided by COMPANY are listed in the excel
file named COMPANY project in West Qurna 2 _BOQ_20190226[1]. The chemicals
will be purchased by HBP, such as epoxy glue Vinyl Ester Resin (Enterset 2960-2 or
analogue), hardener MEKP (Luperox K12G or analogue) and catalyst Cobalt Octoate 10%.
The other consumables should be the responsibilities of SUBCONTRACTOR.
4. Commissioning: The newly installed header shall be hydro-tested, backfilled, and the
area above shall be reinstated.
5. Other requirements:
a) Produced water header shall be excavated, while adjacent closed drain lines shall
be exposed and supported to relieve stress.
b) Identical PW header (of identical GRV material but with increased wall thickness)
shall be constructed in place of the demolished one, using existing duct banks.
c) Connections of side branches shall be reinstated to the original (design) condition.
d) Arrangement of the tie-in to the existing Produced Water Tank is currently under
modification by OTHERS, therefore SUBCONTRACTOR shall adjust the pipe routing and
connection in that area accordingly. HBP will provide support for the modification.
CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with the GRV Vendor to undertake such modifications in the
relevant drawings/documents. Materials required for such modifications are HBP
responsibilities.
e) GRV Vendor support during Engineering, Installation, and Commissioning are
included in the HBP scope of work.

C- Electrical and Instrument works for the new train and the new disposal pump
1. Drawings: The design drawings see attached documents separately, ELECTRICAL, and
INSTRUMENT & CONTROL.
2. Quantities: See excel file named E&I Scope of Work for Phase II and Additional Water
Disposal Pump for more information. Which including ELECTRICAL WORKS,
INSTRUMENT & CONTROL WORKS, and CATHODIC PROTECTION WORKS.
3. Materials: The materials included in the MTO should be the responsibilities of HBP.
The consumables should be the responsibilities of SUBCONTRACTOR.
4. Exclusive Use Tools: The exclusive use tools should be the responsibilities of
SUBCONTRACTOR, also including other equipment would be used during the work
but not mentioned above.
5. Test and Commissioning: The test and commissioning should be the responsibilities
of SUBCONTRACTOR. The vendors of the key rotating equipment and systems will
provide support for commissioning activities. Every single function should be tested
after installation, the existing control system after modified should be tested too. All
the commissioning activities should get the certifications which verified by
COMPANY.
6. Start-up support: All the relevant parties should support the start-up activities
performed by COMPANY staff.
7. Deliverables: Including hard copy, soft copy, and electronic edition. Including all

qualifications, certifications, and permissions, etc.

D- Produced water tank erection


1. General Information: The tank is nitrogen blanketing, vertical, and fixed cone roof
type. The diameter of the tank is 8000mm, height is 14700mm. The nominal volume
is 740m3, working volume is 460m3. The working volume is relevant to HLL = 12.9m
and LLL = 3.75m. The material of the roof, shell, and bottom are all carbon steel.
Internal lining with epoxy resin, and with a 3mm corrosion allowance.
2. Drawings: See attached folder named D-PRODUCED WATER TANK ERECTION for
more information.
3. Quantities: This section including a produced water tank (22-484-00-TK-002)
erection.
4. Materials: All the materials shall be purchased by HBP, the consumables shall be the
responsibilities of SUBCONTRACTOR.
5. Erection & Installation: The prefabricated plates, floating skimmer, and other
accessories will be purchased by HBP, the erection and installation shall be the
responsibilities of SUBCONTRACTOR.
6. NDT and Inspection: The welding joints should be tested and inspected according to
the technical requirement in drawings.
7. Commissioning & Test: The commissioning activities should be performed according
to the procedure approved by COMPANY. And every individual function should be
tested, ensure the tank will be ready for start-up.
8. Start-up support: SUBCONTRACTOR should be ready for any support activities during
the start-up period performed by COMPANY operators.

General requirements:
1. Utilities, consumables, tools & equipment: The foregoing description of the scope
of WORK is not intended to be limiting in any way. Parts of the WORK such as the
provision of necessary or incidental supplies, consumables, all types of utilities
(power, water, consumables and other), tools, and equipment services and other
works which might be reasonably inferred from this SCOPE OF WORK shall be
deemed to be included in the SUBCONTRACTOR’s SCOPE OF WORK. As per drawings,
project specifications and instructions from COMPANY, to complete the work as per
the COMPANY and HBP’s requirements are all the SUBCONTRACTOR responsibilities.
SUBCONTRACTOR should submit the relevant documents to HBP/COMPANY for
approval. All the utilities, consumables, tools, and equipment should be sufficient to
execute the site work.
2. Manpower and Vehicles: The SUBCONTRACTOR should take the responsibilities of
sufficient manpower sources and vehicles to complete the work as scheduled, to
meet the plan approved by COMPANY.
3. Temporary facilities: Temporary camp facilities in CPF including workshop, material
warehouse, office, toilet, transportation, manpower setting area, fencing, as per
COMPANY requirement, etc.
4. Documents:

a. Construction codes and standards: All the construction standards should
follow the drawings, specifications, method statements of the project.
b. The related method statements, procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and
Material Approval Request documents, etc. should be prepared by
SUBCONTRACTOR and submitted to HBP and COMPANY for approval.
c. Documentation supervision.
5. HSE: HSE requirement should follow the attached of the subcontract between HBP
and SUBCONTRACTOR. Hereinafter just highlight some important items.
a. Safety requirements and supervision during construction.
b. Personal PPE, portable H2S detector, escape kit, etc.
c. PTW coordinator.
d. Medicare.
e. BOC and COMPANY’s permits, HBP will supply appropriate support.
f. The waste and garbage of construction and living should be disposed of
separately by SUBCONTRACTOR.
g. Safety signage as per HSE requirements both permanent and temporary
during the construction period.
h. Equipment inspection certificate, before mobilizing to site.
i. Vehicles with licensed drivers.
6. Construction period requirement: Should follow the Level III Schedule approved by
COMPANY, to meet the other works of the project. The attached Level III Schedule is
version 00 which already approved for use by COMPANY. HBP will inform
SUBCONTRACTOR if there will be any updates.

7. Supply, transportation, and delivery to SITE of all SUBCONTRACTOR ITEMS together


with their storage and safekeeping at the SITE or WORKSITE, or other locations,
before their construction in the WORK.

8. Mobilization/Demobilization to/from SITE of all SUBCONTRACTOR ITEMS together


with their storage, preservation, and safekeeping at the WORKSITE, or other
locations, before the installation of the WORK. Construction and installation of the
FACILITIES at WORKSITE.

9. SUBCONTRACTOR shall be responsible to use a legal location for soil disposal


area and obtain all required permits for that.

10. SUBCONTRACTOR shall at his own cost, remove and properly re-execute any
WORK, which in respect of materials or workmanship or both is found
deficient in quality, and is not following the codes, standards or specifications
as specified in the CONTRACT.
