Introduction
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
said Nelson Mandela.” Every year is another opportunity for teachers to gain knowledge
on the best way to improve their methods, strategies and teaching practices. It is even
more imperative nowadays due to changes of learning modality that cater the needs of
learners in adherence to the individual self-learning modules.
Rationale
The training will be a collaboration of Hacienda High School and Malictay High
School teachers towards crafting of Learning Activity Sheets for 3 rd and 4th Quarter in
the area of their expertise and develop assessment tools that are innovative, effective
and considerate to the pandemic situation. It will also serve as an orientation for
teachers in order to familiarize them in the changes with the Result-Based Performance
Management System (RPMS) and have an overview of the organizations’ expectations.
Furthermore, the training will ensure that teachers will be able to create Learning
Activity Sheets, Improve knowledge in instructional designing and knowledge of the
content, Effective
instructional learning materials that are contextualized, localized and suited to the
situation and status of the learners and knowledge on the RPMS Tools in the light of
pandemic.
Objectives:
The seminar-workshop aims to:
1. Ensure the continuity of learning in Hacienda High School through development of
Learning Activity Sheets for Quarters 3 and 4;
2. Orient the faculty on the RPMS Tools for S.Y. 2020-2021.

DAY 1
HHS & Malictay HS Commenced Week-long Collaborative Mid-Year INSET’21
Mrs. Ronalyn D. Serafica, took the stage to give a talk on the preparation
of learning activity sheets. Revisiting the parts of the LAS. She then expounded
on the use and importance of it for the forthcoming 3 rd and 4th quarter, as she
explained she said, teacher is expected to equipped themselves with proper
knowledge in crafting tools most especially with the new distance learning
modality in response to the significant demand for quality education despite the
pandemic. At the end of her talk, she said “teachers must strive and help each
other to learn new wisdom.” They were also given an opportunity for an open
forum. Mrs. Cristyn B. Binaday inquired about the expenditure process and how
LAS will be reproduced in an optimum time? Then Mr. Vargas said that,
expenses relative to the reproduction on LAS will be based on the school MOOE
for senior high school and for junior high school would be reproduced by the
school division.
The teachers then were grouped according to their subject of expertise
and team. They were given space and more time to do the workshop on LAS
preparation. Each group openly discussed and shared with each other.

The second day held on February 9, 2021 at the same venue. Day 2 was
facilitated by the Senior High School department. Registration of the seminar
started at 8:00 am by Mrs. Cristyn B. Binaday, Mrs. Ma. Lourdes C. Laurin and
Ms. Airreen B. Bustamante. The opening prayer was led by Mr. Ruel B. Brondo.
