    Description THE PROVISION OF A 3 NODE LAN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS
    PROVISIONING.

    1. INTRODUCTION

    The project is for the provisioning of three wired Local Area Network
    Nodes for three Wireless Access Points. This entails running a Siemon
    Cat6 cable to three locations and subsequently installing Wireless
    Access Points on each.

    2. SCOPE OF WORK

    The projects required the cabling and installation of three wireless Access Points
    within the perimeter of the following offices and location respectively: RPM,
    GBTO and the Reception area.

    3. SITE SURVEY AND MOBILIZATION

    Before Job Commencement, detailed survey was carried out to identify cable
    route, Conduit needs, Items Quantity and Quality of Service (QoS)
    projections.

    4. LAYING OF SIEMON CAT6 CABLE

    The cable was installed from Server Room to the respective Last Miles. A new
    route was created for some cables to ensure maximum cable length
    requirement is not exceeded. Siemon Cat6 Cable was used throughout.
    5. TERMINATION AT WORK AREA AND SERVER ROOM

    After cable installation, termination was carried out in accordance to the laid
    down TIA/EIA 568A industry standard at both the snap in jack (face plate at the
    work area) and the CAT 6 patch panel in the telecoms room. Both ends
    were certified to have passed the channel and loss tests.
