To determine there exist a difference in the English proficiency of male and female
respondents, T-test for independent sample was explored and it showed that there is
significant difference (t=2.497, df=28, p = 0.019). This implies that the English
proficiency of male and female respondents is statistically not the same.

Means for groups in homogeneous subsets are displayed.
a. Uses Harmonic Mean Sample Size = 7.053.
b. The group sizes are unequal. The harmonic mean of the group sizes is used. Type I error levels are not guaranteed.

In comparing the English proficiency of respondents in terms of their grade levels four
groups were classified: Grade 7 (N = 6, µ = 57.3333, σ = 22.65097); Grade 8 (N = 11,
µ = 64.1818, σ = 24.57974); Grade 9 (N = 7, µ = 73.8571, σ = 11.61075); Grade 10 (N
= 6, µ = 66.5000, σ = 19.26396). Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test the
difference and it revealed that there is no significant difference in the English
proficiency of respondents, F(3)=0.703, p=0.559. This means that the grade level does
not produce a difference in the English proficiency. This implies that the English
proficiency of respondents, regardless or grade level, is statistically the same.
