I would
think that fast food is better than home cooked meal because beside time, cost saving
gives fast food an edge over the meal prepared in the kitchen. Most fast food is
economical compared to fine dining. Even extravagant home cooked meals can be heavy
on the pocket in comparison to fast food. The cost is relatively inexpensive especially
compared to buying fresh products at a grocery store and preparing it at home. If one
stays alone it becomes cheaper for them to buy ready food like burgers and fries that are
relatively cheap than cook. Cooking ingredients, time consumed and resources like gas,
cooking oil, and utensils all added together make cooking when living alone a very
expensive exercise.
Fast food is the low prices. Fast food restaurants can provide customers with simple large
meal sets with minimal cost. Additionally, buying fast food will also reduce the amount
of travelling fee. Since buying ingredients from supermarkets in order to make food in the
kitchen will make the customer pay for gas and parking fee, buying from fast food branch
will be a lot cheaper with these additional cost. It is also cheaper to buy combos at fast
food branches than to buy a set meal from normal restaurants. However, this can easily
lead to customers eating excessive fast food.
Fast food is the amount of choices a customer have over his food. Fast food provide food
of different taste and culture, allowing customers to choose the type of food they would
like to eat. Fast food provide consumers a wide range of food to choose from, for
example burgers, pizza, tacos and many others. Fast food branches also provide balanced
diet of both meat and vegetable.
Conclusion
Our team conclude fast food is better because there are advantage of eating fast food. It
is convenient to eat fast food. We live in competitive society. Time is gold. Therefore,
We occasionally eat this food for save time.
If you do not have the time to cook your meals at home, you can buy values meals from
fast food restaurant. Often time, the value meals being offered are already complete with
rice or french fries, chicken and soda. At a small price, you will be sure to satisfy your
hunger.
Fast food restaurant offer ready to eat or grab and go food. In addition, you can buy them
anytime or call for delivery service.
Some of you are saying that fast food is not healthy. But in my point, every fast food is
not bad. Because fast food contain cheese, egg, vegetable and chicken. And as for
vegetable, egg, cheese and chicken we eat this in home too.
Fast food contain the same amount of oil, fats, vitamins as an ordinary home food cause
rather in home it can be more oily because we are not conscious that how much oil we are
putting in the dish but in the fast food shops they measure every item properly.
We all know what is not healthy for the human body, too much cholesterol, too much fat.
But I don’t find fat and cholesterol unhealthy because the bodies needs it. The key words
are too much and too much of everything is bad. Overall, it depends on the cooking
methods, what’s cooked, how much you are eating and how much exercise you do. If you
boil vegetables that is unhealthy in a way because you are sucking out the nutrition. If
you are not exercising and eating healthy, I do believe that is bad for your body too
because you will still get tired quickly.
Body builders such as 8 times Mr Olympia winner Ron Coleman have used fast food
from McDonald, Burger king to gain muscles. So I think fast food is better.
Subway is the second largest food chain after McDonald and it is famous for being
healthy. Subway provides extra nutritional and healthy food. So now does anyone have a
question that fast food is not healthy?
The first advantage of fast food is time saving. As some busy customers arrive home from
after work or study, they would not want to wait for a large amount of time to get their
hands on some food. (Clark S, 2010) Fast food restaurants are located nearly everywhere,
providing customers with simple meals without the need to spend time travelling far
distances just to purchase food. (Stein N, 2011) This also means the customer does not
have to spend a large amount of time inside and outside the kitchen gathering ingredients
and trying preparing for a single meal, meaning time required for kitchen cleaning is also
not required. Additionally, fast food are always prepared at fast speed, meaning the
customer does not need to wait for a long time just for their order. (Wolverson M. N,
2009, November)
As a conclusion, fast food is becoming more and more acceptable and convenient in our
society. With our daily schedules, many just do not have time to prepare the food at home
or go out to eat at a restaurant. Fast food restaurants also offer low price, variety and
predictability.
