    PRINCIPLE:
    This assay is based on the principle of qualitative Real-Time RT PCR. The assay exploits the use of fluorescent dyes. Increase in
    fluorescence is directly proportional to the target amplification during PCR. Thus the results are reported on the basis of increase in
    fluorescence signals.

    COMMENTS:
    1-The test was performed on automated extraction system while amplification is performed on Rotor Gene Q Real-time PCR analyzer by
    using Genesig (Primer Design)/ Systaaq Kit.
    2-A single negative SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR test should not be used to rule out infection due to possible fluctuation in viral titer.
    3-Correlation of results with clinical features and other laboratory finding is highly recommended.
    4-Due to difference in testing methodology among laboratories, comparison of result is not advisable.
    5-As per published data, PCR positivity may persist 3-4 weeks.
    6- A Borderline Positive is indicated for samples detected at the lower side of detection (LOD) of SARS-COV-2 PCR assay, therefore,
    repeat testing after one week is highly recommended.
