EFFECTS OF THE PASSAGE OF
TYPHOON ULYSSES IN THE BICOL
REGION
 During the two-day (10, 11 November) slow traverse of Ty. Ulysses in the
vicinity of Bicol Region, it dumped heavy to intense rainfall in different areas
of the Region including the provinces of Catanduanes, Albay and the two
Camarines provinces. This caused massive floods and landslides in
Camarines Sur towns particularly Iriga, San Jose, Garchitorena, Nabua,
Bula and Goa.

 In Catanduanes province, hardly hit by floods are the towns of San Andres
and Bagamanoc. The capital town of Virac and Bato municipality were
affected by landslides.

 In Albay, submerged in water are several villages in Libon, Guinobatan. Sto

Domigo town is affected by heavy landslides. It has to be noted that these
municipalities were all affected by Typhoon Rollie less than a week earlier.
