`PROJECT METODOLOGY

PROJECT APPROACH SUMMARY

The organization will use the Agile Approach for the project. Because the team
depends heavily on teamwork, collaboration, scheduled time, and the flexibility to deal
immediately with the changes.
The group was formed under the Coca- Cola Company, generally through two
sources: Financial Resources and Human Resources. Coca-Cola aims to give back at least
1% of its annual income to charitable causes annually (28% is for Community). In
addition, its workforce will come from both employed personnel and volunteers.
The Gantt chart is a tool to be used for the accomplishment of the project. The
team believes that monitoring every step will help us to respond to changes along the
road. A contingency plan should be formulated to address the changes during the
execution. The team foresees that changes may happen within this reason: financial
reasons and operation problems.

Below is the action that the organization will take upon the unexpected
occurrence of the changes.
a. The organization will set aside a fund amounting to at least thirty
percent (30%) of the initial fund.
b. The organization will set aside backup materials, such as plastic
bottles, bleaches and others.
c. The organization will try to find partners either from Local
Government Units (LGUs) or Non- Government Organizations
(NGOs) to help the team call for several volunteers.
However, to prevent unwanted changes, the organization constantly lists every
significant problem that they may encounter. And generally create a monitoring map to
determine the difficulties that routinely occur.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

The project has three levels of intended impact:

1. On the community: Social and Economical

• Provide free lighting to the poor

• Explore materials and resources that are seen as waste

• Increase the possibilities of domestic life/work at night

• Provide a safe environment for children at night

2. On the government: Social and Economical

• A temporary and inexpensive solution to the unresolved issue of providing light to

undeveloped areas.

• An opportunity to help and serve the communities with the most economic need
• Substantial reduction in the capital needed to acquire, distribute, and install
expensive alternative technologies such as solar panels

• Less technical staff as compared to staff size needed for solar panel
maintenance

• Educate undeveloped areas on creative solutions for their own

needs
3. On the environment:

• By using renewable energy, it reduces greenhouse gases and the negative impact of
energy production on the environment

• By using local materials, it reduces the need for transportation of larger equipment

• By reusing materials such as plastic bottles, the project can minimize the excessive
amount of waste that is currently being burned or disposed of in the sea.

PROJECT MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Salt and light organization aims to provide economically sustainable sources of light to
the household that cannot afford conventional electricity. To ensure the efficiency and
effectiveness of the project, a monitoring and evaluation system shall be implemented. After
the 3 months of installation the Salt and Light team will revisit Municipality of Talugtug and
Municipality of Licab to make sure that all aspects of the project are in order. The assigned
project volunteer will prepare a technical report according to the project implemented and
submit it to the management for the review of the project.
Risk Management Plan

Each member from the Coca- Cola project team, not simply the Project Manager, is
mindful and associated with distinguishing, surveying, and mitigating risks. The Coca- Cola
project team will prepare to apply the risk interaction into everyday support. These outcomes
result in better mitigation strategies and the capacity to resolve likely issues before they require
corrective actions.

BUDGET NARRATIVE

The Salt and light organization is proposing to complete this project in 3.8 months. We
estimate that approximately P1, 054,950.00 of coca cola on share of the project will be expended
in the first month of project.

Human Resources: The salary rates of employees participating in the project Salt and Light
chuchu are established by The Coca-Cola Human Resources and based upon merit pay each day.
Project Director and Project Manager will devote a percentage of his time to planning and
directing research activities, as well as monitoring the project budget and preparing project
reports for submission to the company. Project Team Members and volunteers will devote a
percentage of their time to assist with producing the products. Engineers are responsible for the
safety of the work and the effectiveness of the product. Carpenters are responsible for the
installation process.

Materials: We estimate the materials a total of P563, 550.00 is required to conduct this 3.8
months of project proposal. Solar Light bulb is an affordable DIY lighting system that allows the
sun’s rays into home. Using recycled plastic bottles, 10 ml of bleach and distilled water, the
bottle is placed through galvanised steel roofs. Sunlight refracts through the bottle to light the
space below with 55-watt of brightness.

Other Expenses: P48,000 in funding is requested to purchase other expenses for supplies
( Printing cost, papers and writing instruments) that are going to use in seminars and workshop,
transportation costs of the volunteers, promo costs (plates/Cups) when collecting bottles and
meals/snacks of employees and volunteers.
