Below Vegam Servers LUN snapshots are take every 4 hours interval. To conduct disaster recovery test for
Vegam SFS these servers need to be restored from the latest snapshot.

3. New domain URL & SSL certificate will be bind to new servers (restored from snapshot) by Vegam as
part of restore
4. Vegam need to do remaining configuration before start testing.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL
Henkel would like to perform the Simulation of Vegam application environment using latest storage snapshots.
Based on the Henkel requirement and the subsequent discussion we have had with Henkel, Unisys captured
following requirements:
• Henkel would like to perform the simulation of Vegam application environment

• As part of this PR, Henkel want Unisys to build 4 VMs from latest storage snapshot with different IP and
Server Name
• The servers in scope are:

• Handover the servers to Vegam Team.
• Vegam to request new domain URL & SSL certificate for new setup.
• New domain URL & SSL certificate will be bind to new servers (restored from snapshot) by Vegam
• Vegam to do remaining configuration before testing.
• Vegam will finish the testing in one weeks’ time.
• Fours servers should be available for total 3 weeks (2 weeks for deployment/testing and 1 week for
buffer)

SOLUTION DETAILS:
Unisys, Henkel and Vegam team will discuss and agree to ‘Point in time’ of the storage snapshot which will be
used to build/ restore the required VM’s for Simulation of Vegam application.
This is a one time exercise that Henkel are running with their application vendor Vegam. Henkel/ Vegam should
ensure that there is no activity/ action that interrupts or degrades the production environment.
• Unisys will build below 4 VMs from agreed point in time storage snapshot with different IP and Server
Name

• Server team will perform the health check of the servers such as checking if there are any issues with
booting, if all automatic services have started, checking the event logs if there are any errors post
restoration etc.
• Database team will validate Database health and perform integrity test such as uptime, connectivity,
object validity, etc
• Servers will be Handed over to Vegam Team.
• Vegam Team to request new domain URL & SSL certificate for new setup.
• New domain URL & SSL certificate will be bind to new servers by Vegam team
• Vegam to do remaining configuration before testing.
• Vegam will finish the testing in one weeks’ time.
• Vegam will reach out Unisys server and database team if any assistance is required during their test’s.
• Four servers will be available for maximum 3 weeks of time
o 1 Week for Unisys team for build and health checks
o 1 week for Vegam for testing
o 1 week buffer time
• Four servers are being built by leveraging the resources on Production ESXi cluster, if there is failure of
multiple ESXi hosts simultaneously, the priority will be given to Production VMs and these servers will
be shutdown until host’s are recovered.
• All four servers will be deleted post completion of the tests. If Henkel/ Vegam want to keep the servers
for longer period for any unforeseen reason, then it has to go thru the PR process for procuring
additional hardware and monthly management fee would be applicable for the servers.

• Henkel to manage Oracle license’s for this excercise.
IMPACT TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND AFFECTED SERVICES AND/OR

ORGANISATIONS
• Unisys and Henkel Vegam teams to take utmost care when the VMs are restored from Storage
snapshot. They should not be connected to network until the servers are renamed and assign
the new IPs.
• Henkel/ Vegam should ensure that there is no impact on production environment with the
changes being implemented on restored VMs.

unforeseen issues during their testing.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

Including value-added and acceptance criteria
This proposal is valid for thirty (30) days from the Proposal issue date.
Unisys will send out a project closure statement to the Henkel project requestor or Henkel project manager after
project completion. If there is no objection from Henkel within ten (10) working days the project is deemed as
accepted and shall be invoiced.
Henkel shall issue a purchase order in a timely manner otherwise Unisys can either suspend services to Henkel
and charges will continue to accrue and be payable by Henkel during the suspension period or put the project
commencement on hold until all purchase orders received.
In the event that Unisys is delayed or prevented from performing its obligations in a timely manner, to the
extent that the delay is caused by factors beyond the reasonable control of Unisys, including, without limitation,
the inability of Henkel to perform its obligations in a timely manner, Unisys will be entitled to an equitable
adjustment of the timetable and charges.
Title to any hardware will transfer to Henkel upon payment of the charges unless otherwise stated above.
Note nothing in this Project Request amends the disaster recovery responsibilities in the Agreement.
