How is Catholic social teaching connected to your life as a student?

I can always reflect back on how the catholic social teachings impacted me by living with
good principles in life, exhibiting good characteristics, and showing respect and love to everyone
around me. Catholic social teachings are the way of life for me and it has helped me grow as a
person. It can help everyone live with peace, trust, and generosity.
As a student, I have faced various challenges that put me into a seat of deciding what is
good or not. For an instance, as a student amidst the pandemic, online platforms and bunch of
assessments gives me stress that also affects the way I communicate to people. Sometimes, I get
annoyed when someone asked me what I am doing, and instead of giving them a nice reply, I
ended up ignoring them and sometimes shouting at them. But because of the principles that
catholic social teachings taught me, and realizing its importance to build a strong relationship
with other people, I was reminded of being good into others, either to communicating or helping
them.
Thus, I’m glad that the catholic social teachings help me realize that my communication
to people around me, on how I treat everybody should be accompanied with respect and love.
Catholic social teachings help develop the character of a person and to know what is good and
what is not, which in turn impacts how a person will live their life.

How the foundation and root of justice originate in God’s love?

The foundation and source of justice, as revealed in the scriptures, is God's love, as
shown in Genesis and God's agreements with the Israelites. The God’s love provides the Biblical
foundation for justice. Within the context of God’s love, justice is understood as “righteousness”
being in a state of “right-relationship” with another. This definition provides a sense of justice
that is good for the individual, society, and the environment.
God’s love is characterized by His faithful commitment to His people—His continual
involvement in their restoration process. For instance, the separation of God to Adam and Eve
does not mean that does not mean the end of God's relationship with humans, nor does it mean
death; rather, God's desire to be in relationship with humans is demonstrated repeatedly in the
way God hears and responds to the cries of those who are oppressed. This allows justice to be
“restored” in communities where there has been sin. Justice for all people includes providing
both basic needs and opportunities for societal engagement while also pursuing environmental
protection. These concepts are the foundation of sustainable living, which is required for humans
to share life on Earth with God's creation.
Today's justice is linked to legal justice, and its main goal is to keep us from making
mistakes we shouldn't do. However, the justice of Jesus meets all kinds of troubles and do not
judge any sin. The Bible is clear that the law was never to be used as a tool for justice but rather
as a messenger to show people how evil their actions are. With that said, the Bible only says that
God will save those who believe in Him. As long as we believe in Him, His love will act like
divine judgment for us by showing us our sins and giving us hope. For believers, there's no need
for legal justice because they've already found everlasting peace with God through Jesus Christ.
