Practical Research is one of the subjects in senior high school which aims to develop your critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. You probably know that at the end of this course, you will
submit your research output during the culminating activity. Don’t worry about your research
assignment. You will learn everything about conducting research step by step. To start, let us
find out how well you know doing research.
Learning Objectives:
Specifically. after working on this module, you should be able to share your knowledge and research experiences.
Fill Me
Directions: Fill out the blank spaces by referring to the clues and guessing the word/s being defined. Write your answers
on your notebook.
Congratulations. You have unlocked some new vocabulary words. Good luck on your next task!
Directions: Read the sentences. Put a check (√ ) on the space before the number if you think that the sentence is true
about research. Put a cross (X) if you think that it is not. Write your answers on your notebook.
Mind Map
Directions: Draw a mind map about your insights or knowledge in doing research. Follow the instructions below.
1. Start at the center of a long bond paper turned sideways. (You have the freedom to spread out in all directions
and to express it more freely and naturally.)
2. Use colors throughout. (Colors add extra vibrancy and life to your mind map.)
3. Use an image or picture for your central idea.
4. Connect your main branches to the central image and connect your second-and third-level branches to the first

YOUR GUIDE
Knowledge of research is important to students because it helps in having a detailed analysis of things.
When one has proper in-depth analysis of any topic, the result comes out fruitful.
Directions: On a one whole sheet of paper, write difficulties/challenges you’ve experienced when doing research
during your lower years. Opposite the challenges, cite solutions on how you can avoid the same difficulties when doing
research. Use the graphic organizer.

INTRODUCTION:
It may sound trite, but human needs never end. Believe it or not, but it’s the truth. Our wants and
desires increase day by day. As our needs increase, the requirement to do research also rises. It is
research that makes our life easier. Because of our curiosity, new innovations and ideas immerge.
But now that we are in the Digital Age and teenagers like you who are very hooked up to the internet
may think that research is just “googling”.
Learning Objectives:
Directions: On your notebook, list down concepts/ideas that you want to know about research. Read books or
surf the internet to understand more about the concepts. Jot down the things that you have found out about
the concepts because you might need it in our next lesson.
