Shortlisted Candidates for PhD Admissions in Civil Engineering for August 2021

School of Engineering had called applications for the PhD program in Civil Engineering. The
minimum qualifications for applying to PhD Civil Engineering programs in School of Engineering
at IIT Mandi were advertised in the institute website.

The following candidates are shortlisted for the online interview/written test or both. The
shortlisting criteria for each specialization were given before the shortlist. Shortlisted candidates are
requested to appear for the interview/written test or both as per the schedule given below with the
list of shortlisted candidates.

Kindly check your name in the attached list. If you are sure that you have submitted the
complete application form and you satisfy the shortlisting criteria contact the SE admissions
([email protected])with the relevant proof for your claims. Your candidature will
not be considered for admission if you do not meet the shortlisting criteria even though your
name is in shortlist. Your admission will get cancel in such case. We will be approaching you
through E – mail id: [email protected] for the login details for online interviews.

Note:

 GATE syllabus will be considered for the written test, if any.

 The online interview link will be shared to candidates through email at the interview time.

Shortlisting criteria for PhD in Geotechnical Engineering

1. M.E./M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering or associated areas with

minimum

(a) 65% Aggregate or 7.0 CGPA for General/OBC/EWS candidates

(b) 60% Aggregate or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST candidates

2. B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or associated areas with minimum

(a) 65% Aggregate or 7.0 CGPA for General/OBC/EWS candidates

(b) 60% Aggregate or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.

3. GATE qualified in Civil Engineering at least once in academic career with minimum
