    Calcium bromide liquid, weighing 14.2 lb/gal (1702 kg/m3) is used for
    Product blending clear brine workover and completion fluids ranging from 8.4 -

    Calcium bromide liquid is used during workover and completion


    operations which require densities from 8.4 - 15.1 lb/gal (1008 - 1812
    kg/m3). It provides inhibition preventing the hydration and migration of
    Applications/ swelling clays and can be used for packer fluids or to adjust the density of
    Functions other brine systems. Calcium bromide can be used with sacked calcium
    chloride to obtain densities up to 15.1 lb/gal (1812 kg/m3). When used with
    zinc bromide brine, densities to 19.2 lb/gal (2301 kg/m3) can be achieved.
    Use gentle agitation when mixing for thorough dispersion. May also be
    used in the aqueous phase of invert emulsion systems.

    Advantages Is a proven system for providing clear fluids of relative high densities.

    Treatment tables.

    Limitations ¾ Compatibility with work over chemicals and rubber components.

    application.

    Calcium bromide liquid is available as a bulk liquid and in 55 US gallon
