bo bobble stitch (5 partially completed dc are worked into one
stitch. Finish your bobble stitch by drawing your yarn through all
remaining loops on your crochet hook alltogether.)
Using the stated cotton yarns and a CHS 2.5 mms, *Frieda* the lamb will be
about 19 cms in length and about 13 cms in height.
Step 2: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (4
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (3 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)
Step 3: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (5
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (4 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)
Step 4: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (6
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops (5 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)
Step 5: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (7
loops on the crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops
You have achieved your first bobble stitch! The first bobble is done. (See picture

Helpful advice:
Make sure to crochet rather tight to avoid any big holes. This will reduce
your fiberfill peeking through!
I also suggest to continuously push your boobles outside a little bit so that
the bobble pattern is clearly visible.
The following lamb is made, using the colors for lamb no. 1
Body:
Work in rounds! (Color: White)
10. 48 sc (48)
12. 48 sc (48)
14. 48 sc (48)
16. 48 sc (48)
Now it's the right time to put the music box inside the semi- finished body. With
the help of a needle you can pull the string through between the 3rd and the 4th
round of bobbles, and then attaches the end of the string to a disk (as you can
see in picture 10) or wooden ball, for example. Now you can stuff the body with
fiberfill around the music box. The part below the music box, where the string
leaves the box, remains unstuffed, so that the melody sounds without any
problems. (see pictures 8-12)
19. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 10th round of bobbles!
20. 48 sc (48)
Finish this round with 1 sl st into the 3rd stitch from your crochet hook. Sew up
small holes if necessary. Cut the yarn long enough so it can be used later to sew
on the head. (See picture 13-15)
Picture 15
Head:
Work in rounds! Start with the color Goat.
2. (inc) x6 (12)
14. 45 sc (45)
16. 42 sc (42)
18. 39 sc (39)
Finish with 1 sl st and change to color White! Make a turning chain and turn
your crochet piece 180° and continue to work in the other direction. So you can
see the bobble stitches, which start now, more clearly.
Skip the first st at the bottom of the turning chain. (see pictures 16- 19)
22. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 1st round of bobbles!
(see picture 20 +21)
Crochet the last bobble stitch of round 22 in the same stitch, where you made
the sl st in round 21, so that you get 36 stitches again. Now you can use a stitch
maker or a piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each round.
23. 36 sc
25. 36 sc
27. 36 sc (36)
Use your hands to flatten the head a little bit to give it a nicer shape! (See
picture 27)
Picture 16 Picture17
2. (inc) x6 (12)
Ears (2x):
Work in rounds! (Color: Goat)
Finish with 1 sl st. Cut the yarn long enough so you can use it to sew the ears to
the head.
Fold and pinch the ears together where the opening is and sew both sides
together with 2-3 stitches.
Assembly:
Step 1:
Sew the head to the body (to the 11th and 13th round of bobbles). I always sew
on the head facing slightly sideways, as it makes the lamb look even a little bit
cuter. Pay attention, that the string of the music box is located in the middle of
the bottom, before you sew the head to the body.
Step 2:
Sew the ears to the head, between round 22 and 24, thus between the 1st and
2nd round of bobbles, with 11 bobbles apart!
Step 3:
Sew the legs to the body.
The hind legs are sewn on the 4th round of bobbles, about 4 bobbles
apart.
The forelegs are sewn on between the 12th and 13 round of bobbles,
about 2 bobbles apart
Step 4:
Use black cotton yarn for the eyes.
The sleeping eyes are embroidered over round 17 and 18 and over the length of
4 stitches.
There is a distance of 10 to 11 stitches between the eyes.
For some finishing touches, you may use a brush and carefully apply some pink
blush onto the lamb's cheeks.
